Didn't they know how much pain this would cause their mothers? Dealing with drugs just isn't worth it.

Everyone makes choices that sometimes are the wrong ones, didn't you?

I know I did but fortunately, none were  illegal or cost me anything more than money and pride.

Everyone has made bad choices.

But not to the extent they did and not where death was a possibility.
Although I can think of 3 - 4 instances where i might have died.

I say that when someone wipes themselves out with drugs.

The same drugs supplied by these "ring leaders".

And that is where I think the reason they won't get off is. They normally catch the mules, not the ring leaders

but in this instance they did.

So, I always thought that is why they would get the death penalty.

Were they the real ring leaders though or just the leading hands that organized the trip?  

Who were the big money makers financing the operation?

Mid level dealers. Ran the distribution at that end.

I got the impression still bigger than they normally catch.

I don't know if they know the bigger fish.
