Bali holiday, what is it like ?

I have never been there and have never had any wish to go, but I feel the need to get away for a few days and maybe take
My 11 year old.

What is Bali like ?

Where do I go ? What airport ?

I am interested in somewhere clean, nice view and photography, alittle swimming in a warm water, clean spot

not sleazy or crowded, no nightclubs, no drunks or hassle

Definitely no confined animals or animal cruelty.

Absolutely! Air fares to Bali are exorbitant, whilst trips to eBali are totally free of charge. 🙂

So true, have stayed at Nusa Dua, nice as far as Bali can be. Kuta attracts the kinds of Aussies one wouldn't associate with back home.

If you like to drink, use dope, get "massaged", wear atrocious Bali clothes & hoon around on a scooter, fall off, get hospitalized, get discharged, get a tatt, get dreads or plaits, if  you like to hang with bogans then you'll love Bali.

With all the things you asked for I wouldn't go to Bali, there have to be any amount of places in Australia to choose from. To go to Bali, get off a plane and head straight for a resort at Nusa Dua, well you can do that in Australia, stay at a resort that is.

Bali is everything people have said here but it can be a good holiday, depends what you do and where you go although there are a lot of obnoxious Australians that go there that make you feel ashamed to say you are from Australia at times.  Maybe Fiji would be better, I've never been there so can't really say.

If you want to go to Bali, Muggsy or Lis might be able to help you decide on a place. My son took his family to Fiji and to Bali last year but they are currently in Thailand so I can't ask him where they stayed atm. By all accounts and the pics, thay had a wonderful time, the children are 10, 9 and 7.
