......under what "right" are people paid to exist without doing anything for their payment.?
Is it just because they exist?

Mmm. Sorry. (Hangs head in shame).
I was always brought up to value facts and the truth - and in dealing with the unemployed, it is just so easy to let emotion/feelings/hunches affect your judgement of others, so I constantly belaboured staff to become as non-judgemental as they possibly could. Sit and think the situation through - and let the facts speak for themselves.

But your hunches are all accurate assessments of people?
insight into their mannerisms, behaviours and characteristics.
Pertinent section highlighted...

So you are not so smart after all New Zealanders cant go on the benefit in Australia.
But we do let Aussies go on the benefit in NZ
I get half Aussie Pension and half NZ pension because I am special 🙂 citizen of both countries

Trouble is, until you've been in my shoes, and seen the things I've seen, your alternative theories are just that. Theories.
But hey - what would I know? Armchair experts are so much more well-versed in these matters!
Once upon a time there were reds under every bed, now it seems that every young person with tan is a dole bludger.
What exactly do you think that unemployed kids should be doing? Once they pay their rent and buy some groceries there is not much money left to do anything, and once they do the weekly job search, why why should they not sit on the beach, and why should not they get some enjoyment?
Even if some do not really ant job, why force them to take a job that somebody else is desperate to have? Unless there is enough for everybody, somebody is alays going to miss out.

It really is futile to claim 30 years of association with the unemployed on these threads
not that anyone cares or believes you , you have no idea who you are talking to and just maybe someone here has more knowledge than you about the subject
and maybe young fit tanned men and women may be a stereotype in your mind for the unemployed
but you could hardly say that for Tasmania or South Australia or even the NT and if it were true would be more likely to be the case
for The Gold Coast wouldn't you say

These arguments on empirical evidence only sound like the ones on another thread, which disregard long-time international medical journals as a source of information in favour of "I just know".
The government could save a lot of research money by asking these empirical experts to run the country.

Since then Kiwis receiving the dole have been able to apply for money to migrate to Australia, if they could prove there was a job waiting at their destination.
What is the issue there are as far as Australia is concerned then? Any person arriving in Australia who is eligible to work here, either gets a job to support themselves or goes home if they can't get work (e.g. NZ'ers haven't been eligible for Govt benefits in Aust since Feb 2001).
An automatic Special Category Visa (SCV) is issued electronically to New Zealand passport holders meaning they can live and work here indefinitely. Kiwis are not entitled to Centrelink support until two years after being issued permanent residency.
Which is not likely to happen. Permanent residency is not automatic no matter how long a NZ has lived here, they could loose their job after working here for 10, 20 years and still not be entitled to Govt benefits (since Feb 2001)
Poor, inaccurate, OUT OF DATE, reporting.

Ha ha! I choose to retire from this topic gracefully, as it's abundantly clear I know little of what I'm talking about, and the armchair experts have it all sewn up!
Just don't forget that the Outrage Bus is due along very soon, and I'd hate you to miss your seats!

Did you get your seat on that favourite bus of yours?
Which one is you? Charles or Joel?
Which one is Ploddster?
