......under what "right" are people paid to exist without doing anything for their payment.?
Is it just because they exist?

Gold Coast, and the preponderance of young, fit, tanned men and women, so obviously on welfare, is amazing.
What is obvious about it? They may be on holidays or they may be working at night. You cannot just look at person on the street and decide just because they are tanned they must be on welfare.
I am not saying that there are not some people who are on dole there, but such a judgemental sweeping statement just astounds me.
curmu, you would not by any chance been also real estate agent, were you? Because what you are saying reminded me of an incident some years ago. At that time my daughter was 27, and had already 2 houses; she worked as a flight attendant, as well as couple of other jobs and was considering to by 2nd investment property. She also happened to be fit and tanned. One day sitting on the beach in middle of the week, we discussed the possibility of buying property near by, and as we walked off the beach I suggested that she pops into a real estate agent and gets a list of rental properties so we have an idea what income she could get. She was in her swimsuit and sarong, you would, and the real estate agent looked her up and down and said: " we do not have anything in the range for dole bludgers". LOL no need to say he is not going to be the one if needed services of real estate agent.

My kids were on the beach at the Gold Coast last week. Middle of the week, they came home more tanned than they left.
Lazing around, they thoroughly enjoyed the week off.
They would have been judged as dole bludgers too. Couldn't be further from the truth. They're dairy farmers. They work from 5am until 7pm most days. If they need time out they take it in the middle of the day and sometimes wander around the shopping centre with the rest of the bludgers that look like they should be working.... Who knows maybe they're all farmers, or nurses, or paramedics, or police, or pilots, or carers.

I haven't worked for anyone else for 20 years, I can been seen out and about and dressed very casually at all times of the day, is that why people look at me strangely? They think I'm a dole bludger lol

Any additional attributes to Donna's bulging repertoire would lead to sensory overload and could cause a person to enter into a state of coma
