I've seen several posts on FB urging people to declare their outrage, sign petitions etc. I'm a cat lover too, but I'm also a lover of our own Australian fauna and while it's not the cats' fault they've been allowed to go feral, they just don't belong in the bush and need to be eradicted.

I agree She-el.
They can do more damage than good... and so can the feral cats!
I got bit on my hand by a feral cat once..... it actually sunk 2 teeth straight through the muscle in my hand at the thumb.
Hurt like a MF.
These *got no-idea* do gooders havent got a clue half the time. Quarter of the time. Zero clue!

we need to get rid of feral cats, wild dogs (not dingos), rabbits and (to a lesser extent perhaps) camels but certainly cane toads. If someone can come up with an idea to eradicate them all it would be worth millions if not billions of $.

If only we could find a way of feeding the cane toads to the cats. LOL

Why cant they make fertilizer out of the pests. ... or canned dog/cat food.....
*Charlie Carp* is making a fortune.
OR... gather up the camels and train them to enter the Camel races held in Forbes annually 🙂

You have to start at the beginning of the problem and make it a law that all cats have to be neutered.
Feral cats can be culled in a humane way.

The problem is, it's so hard to police those laws. Our local council has a policy that all cats have to be neutered and microchipped, but there are three neighborhood cats (not strays) that visit our yard regularly and from the fights that go on most nights I'm pretty sure none of them has been desexed.
