He wants cheap electricity for the poor but his concern doesn't extend to them having enough money to not be poor. I'm obviously too stupid to understand the logic ( if you can call anything that peanut says as logic) behind his thinking. So the Government wants to privatise everything and let all the money flow offshore and we should be happy to have no money and cheap power until we can no longer live in a country that kills us with fire and floods. Barnaby has no idea how cheap power would have to be to be affordable for the poor. I haven't had a heater since 2007. I spend more money on the supply charge than I ever do on the electricity itself. I could afford electricity and gas back when the Government owned them. when i saw the posts headline i thought barney having experinced life on the back bench realised it was impossible to support 2 families on the meger pay he recieves

the ABC is reporting that he has quit the Nationals Party Room but will remain a member of the LNP (Qld has a joint party) and will vote with the government in the parliament.
