havent searched for the magazine yet. to add to the story; its believed a couple of blokes who had motorcycles in the early 1900s (probably bicycles with engines attached) debated which bike was better. agreed to a wager and the kiwi bloke thought of holding a challenge on a horse racing track, which from there progressed into a sport.

well speedway is an australian invention. could be that.

I am glad the falcon carried it off,it couldn't have happened to 2 nicer blokes & they ran a good consistent race overall.
