On this day in 1966 our Australian Soldiers fought in the Battle of Long Tan, we lost fine young men and many more were injured
RIP all those Australians that died that day, and the many that have died since.

My OH is going to a 50 year reunion in Brisbane next month and one of his old mates has no arms or legs - he stood on a land mine in Nam. His best mate from school has mental problems and is a hermit - he had to shoot someone close up or be shot himself. He can hardly live with himself. As well as death, there are a lot of people still suffering.

My apologies
