Being a Cop in Australia

Vision has been released of an “appalling” alleged attack on two NSW Police officers including a female senior constable who was punched and dragged to the ground by her hair before a clump was ripped from her scalp.

The officers were called to a home in Buff Point on the Central Coast late on Tuesday night after reports of a domestic incident.

William Peter Kershaw, 35, allegedly became increasingly violent and resisted arrest after police arrived at the scene.

“A struggle ensued when the officers attempted to arrest the man; the man allegedly spat in the male officer’s face,” police said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The female officer was punched in the face several times before being dragged to the ground by her hair. A clump of hair was ripped from her scalp during the arrest.

“The female officer became increasingly distressed when she was grabbed around the neck and choked.

“The male officer was then allegedly elbowed in the face and had his genitals twisted by the man before additional police assisted and released him.”

Just another day at the office for our police officers.

I would take the knee for these men and women that put their safety and lives on the (blue) line to protect the general public, many of whom wish to visit violence on them.

Being a Cop in Australia

A 28-year-old man has been charged after bashing a female police officer in the head using his fists and knees following a neighbourhood disturbance on the Central Coast on Tuesday morning.

olice were called to Walu Ave in Halekulani twice between 5am and 7am to reports of a man yelling in the street, allegedly trying to enter homes and threatening residents.

On the second occasion, officers spoke with the man, who allegedly became aggressive and punched a female senior constable, 47, in the head multiple times.

In a dramatic scene, police allege the man fought back against officers, resisting arrest and lunging at the woman again.

Officers used pepper spray but failed to subdue the man, who allegedly continued to use his fists and knees to hit the senior constable before he was finally put in handcuffs and arrested.

The female officer sustained facial lacerations and was treated at the scene before being taken to Wyong Hospital for further treatment.

Police officer punched by man with outstanding warrants at NSW-Victoria border crossing

Police say an officer was punched at a NSW-Victoria checkpoint by a man who provided false information while trying to cross the border on Saturday morning.

NSW Police said three police officers and two Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel were manning a border crossing at Federation Way at Corowa when a car with three people on board was stopped about 4:50am this morning.

Authorities said the 22-year-old female driver and a 25-year-old female passenger in the front seat had valid permits and ID, but a 21-year-old man in the back seat "provided false information".

Officers said checks on the man revealed he had seven outstanding warrants, including a revocation of parole warrant.

He attempted to run from the vehicle and allegedly punched a senior constable in the face and knocked him to the ground.

Police and Defence Force officers arrested the man after a short struggle.
