Being a Cop in Australia

Vision has been released of an “appalling” alleged attack on two NSW Police officers including a female senior constable who was punched and dragged to the ground by her hair before a clump was ripped from her scalp.

The officers were called to a home in Buff Point on the Central Coast late on Tuesday night after reports of a domestic incident.

William Peter Kershaw, 35, allegedly became increasingly violent and resisted arrest after police arrived at the scene.

“A struggle ensued when the officers attempted to arrest the man; the man allegedly spat in the male officer’s face,” police said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The female officer was punched in the face several times before being dragged to the ground by her hair. A clump of hair was ripped from her scalp during the arrest.

“The female officer became increasingly distressed when she was grabbed around the neck and choked.

“The male officer was then allegedly elbowed in the face and had his genitals twisted by the man before additional police assisted and released him.”

Just another day at the office for our police officers.

I would take the knee for these men and women that put their safety and lives on the (blue) line to protect the general public, many of whom wish to visit violence on them.

You must be disappointed the cops didn't shoot your restriction-breaking holidaying neighbours? Whom you considered a threat?

It's just a question.

Do you have difficutly - in normal conversation - with anyone.

I mean - face to face.

I have to be concise to enable those that count to clearly understand me

Just when - I mean ' when ' - have you ever been ' concise '.

We don't count

you have a real problem that i used the police for just why we have them.

we were told if we saw people not following the rules to call the police, so i did.

maybe if a few more in victoria did the same there wouldnt be so many infected people?

and i would not want anyone one shot

i rekon you should retract that statement.

You certainly seem to be anti-cop. But call them when you need them to do your bidding.

We have the police to uphold the Law and Order. If we demonise them for doing just that, then why would anyone bother?

People will take Law and Order into their own hands. And that will lead to anarchy.

Will you be happy with that?

'Shame on you': Aussie judge slams 'disgraceful' Kiwis for handcuffing, choking cop

An Australian judge has blasted a Kiwi brother and sister who repeatedly strangled a female police officer to near unconsciousness and restrained her using her own handcuffs, telling the pair: "Shame on you both".

Hylton Miharo King, 24, and his sister Ariana Thirteen King, 30, on Friday pleaded guilty in the Brisbane District Court to serious assault of police during a wild brawl outside a Mitchelton hotel on May 25, 2019.

The Brisbane District Court today heard the siblings and other relatives had been kicked out of Brook Hotel because they were too drunk and had threatened to glass security guards when police were called.

When two officers arrived outside the pub, the group surrounded their car.

The court heard Hylton King told police to "f*** off" before trying to stop the female senior constable getting out of the vehicle.

Once she did, she was set on by the man who began choking her.

The court heard while the officer was trying to remove King's hand from her neck, his sister Ariana King grabbed a set of handcuffs from her hand and secured them to the senior constable's wrist, which stopped her escaping the attack.

When the officer tried to gouge the man's eyes to get him off her, he bit her hand before choking her again to the point she began to lose consciousness, the court on Monday heard.

Another police officer who was trying to assist the woman was stopped from going to her aid by other members of the group.

the court heard the man is currently in immigration detention and will be deported to New Zealand following the sentence.

His sister is also expected to return to NZ to be with her five children.

At least the King sister wasn't skiting about it and said   .. ..   "I just hope everyone's OK". She seems genuine.  This is the problem when alcohol is involved troube can erupt.. She doesn't look like the type that would normally make troublle either. Well, they stuffed up and I guess that's it for them. They have to take responsibility for their actions.

Yeah, she's all heart ...

I'm sure she wouldn't have handcuffed a police officer in order to let her brother perpetrate violence against said female police officer, if she were sober...
