I used some on my kitchen benchtop as per my neighbour's recommendation. Came up a treat!
Then I used it on the floor. It lifted a lot of grime off I didn't even realise was there!
Didn't like using it in the bathroom though. I took heaps off rinsing to get the white residue off.
I like the microfibre sponges for the bathroom.

I put 1/2 cup of bi-carb soda in washing machine with the clothes, gets out stains and also softens the clothes.

I always added a pinch to my peas, just copying what my mum used to do!!

It brings out the colour of the peas, so I hear.
The only time I use it in cooking is when I make a banana cake. I haven't done any baking in ages though.

it's good stuff isn't it. Some great tips here. I use it for cleaning silver too. Isn't it interesting how some of the old basic pantry things make such good cleaners

Most of the "Commercial Cleaners " are basically Bi Carb with a bit of smelly stuff added. I use Bi Carb & Lemon Juice to clean most of my household stuff. 🙂

I use Bi-Carb to give the kitchen sinks a bit of a shine. It removes the tea stains from where I have dropped my tea bag into it.
To clean silver jewellery, scrunch up some alfoil and place in a bowl/plastic container. Put jewellery in. Sprinkle heavily with Bi-Carb and pour on boiling water. It shifts the tarnish off.

It works a treat on burnt saucepans too!
