The image of a woman in a skimpy bikini painted on an Ekka ride was covered up after the Queensland director of the Australian Christian Lobby slammed it as inappropriate for children.
The mural image was featured on the Rip Tide attraction located in the children’s rides section of the showgrounds, off St Paul’s Terrace.

The ACL’s Wendy Francis started a change.org petition on Saturday after being alerted to the image of a busty blonde woman with only thin strips of pink fabric covering her nipples.
“If this image was in an adult workplace it would be deemed as sexual harassment and removed,” Ms Francis wrote on the petition.
“Our children's innocence should not be compromised by attending the Brisbane Ekka - one of the highlights of the year for many families. Sexual imagery is inappropriate here.
“Please have these images removed and keep the Ekka as a family friendly place to go.”
RNA chief executive Brendan Christou said officials were made aware of the image on Saturday night and had it covered overnight.
Totally agree with covering it up at a venue aimed at families. I'm no prude but it shocks me some of the explictly sexual nature of advertising.

@boris1gary wrote:sad that the australian christian lobby haven't anything better to do, they should have joined the Nun who was arrested yesterday for protesting in hockeys office over children in detention camps, in the last 4 months 45 religious leaders from a range of denominations have been arrested after holding prayer vigils for children in detention camps. Instead the acl are carrying on about a pair of breasts that I doubt kids would have even noticed or cared about.
can anyone do anything right in your opinion?

back to the topic - If this image was in an adult workplace it would be deemed as sexual harassment and removed,
"Images such as this objectify women and have no place in public spaces.
RNA chief executive Brendan Christou said officials were made aware of the image on Saturday night and had it covered overnight.
“This was an unfortunate and isolated oversight, which we swiftly moved to have resolved,” Mr Christou said.
i think the complaints were justified.

I can guarantee my 5 and 7 yo grand kids would notice that sign.
