I see Billy boy popped over to Iraq for a quick visit to see the troops
There doesn't seem to be any access to bill's surprise trip photos... all very contrived and tightly controlled by Bill's office.
Where was the independent media photos and video ?
Then again, if it is unsafe for a few Australian media then it is unsafe for the Opposition leader of Australia, he shouldn't have went there either.
But the more I look at those last pics, the more fake they look. Were the real free press allowed to go to the RAAF / Army photo shoot?
What I haven't seen is the usual pics of soldiers enthusiastically cheering him on... Is that in any of video ?
Then again, there was talk about him recording a speech in a Labor room so crowd could be added later..... who really knows ?
Anyway, the troops do NOT look very happy about him being there.
One asleep, a few looking VERY bored and not one smile.

Only because you lot kicked up such a stink over Abbott's visit.
I take an avid interest in defence so tend to notice reports.

Defence is bi partisan so no, probably not.
In any case, he needed Abbott to arrange the visit anyway LOL
I was just criticising Shorten with the same words you lot had used to criticise Abbott, that's all.And of course you all jump to his defense.
Off the top off my head I can't recall ever accusing Abbott of failing to take a press entourage on any of his trips, or suggesting he shouldn't have "went" anywhere.

You and your ilk who non stop criticise Abbott, even when he does good things.
Maybe because we do NOT like the "good" things he does. 🙂

Shorten usurp the PM in front of troops ?
Now that's a laugh.
The PM at 50+ can hack it with soldiers half his age and they said so, they said they were impressed.
Shorten would die in 10 minutes, that is if he had the balls to give it a go.
I personally prefer somebody with brain to somebody with brawn.
Exactly. Who needs a buffoon who wants to throw his weight around every where he goes?
Why does he always lean into and grab the arm of other people when shaking hands for a photo op?
It's a really agressive stance that he should have been trained out of before he got the top job.
Like this you mean? This is your example of "adult opinion" name calling ad infinitum. And for your information the so called "grabbing the arm" is a technique used at every opportunity by Clinton and Obama...but maybe a little research doesn't suit you, from reading your past posts they are filled with a vitriol befitting a leftist.
