Any idea what this young bird is?
There was a small nest above him, sort of like a wagtail or peewee nest.
The only bird that came near him while I was watching was a noisy minor bird.

he was a little bit bigger than the minor bird.

I think it is too big to be a minor and it doesn't have the yellow around the beak.
Joono I did wonder if it was a cuckoo and the minor had been tricked in to raising it, but I didn't know whether we had those sort of cuckoos here. The ones that lay their eggs in other birds nests I mean.
This was taken in the central west of NSW.
He reminded me of a tawny frogmouth the way he sat so still pretending to be a stick.
