or here and click on the speaker http://www.2gb.com/article/immigration-minister-scott-morrison-12#.Utxevk24a9I
So there is all the information you are all desperately wanting to hear including Indonesia.
Scott Morrison and the Abbott govt are grown ups and getting on with the job without all the shouting and every 10 minutes media interviews.
The Abbott govt is doing what they got voted into to do and the left hate that fact and seem to want to see more people drown at sea.

Reading or listening to Scott Morrison and Ray Hadley in the same story LOL

I like to listen to ray Hadley when I am working on a vehicle with a 4lb hammer and I need to belt something really, really,
really hard.
I wish I had known the diuretic duo were performing "piste in my pocket please" this morning
.... I would have had the shackle pins and bushes knocked out of the old Isuzu in 20 minutes flat
.... Oh well there's always tomorrow...

Morrison was the one desperate to speak to the media before the election. 2,3, 4 times a day before the election.

I oppose people that support this ILLEGAL trade and trashing of our borders and who think we should just allow anyone to enter OUR country.
I oppose people that think the boats should just keep on coming and drowings at sea....

I don't hate them, Donna. As you know, I wish that we could take everyone, that our resourses were sufficient to provide everyone the benefits of living in Australia that I am so blessed to receive.
But here's the thing that I just can't get over, and it's weird for me because I favour the "user pays" and "open market" ideologies of Capitalism, but just because the people who arrive by boat have money, it means they get preference over those who don't. Why are their lives worth more? Why are those with no money to pay to get to our shores not valued as highly as those with money?
The people without the money are just as desperate and in just as much danger and in need of asylum and aid just as much as those who can pay.

Something I would like to understand is why the processing process takes so long. I understand it is often lengthened to allow for appeals. Without knowing too much about the process, I don't understand why we grant the opportunity for appeal. I think it wshould be a one shot scenario, maybe one appeal, but with a time limit of say 1 to 2 years?
I think we should have a set number awaiting processing, and as they are processed, the next people in place can come.
If we shorten the time for processing, it will be kinder for everyone, both those who are granted access and those who are refused. At least they will know, and not spend years with their lives on hold in hope.
It would also free up a lot of costs for us which could inturn be used to process more people.
There must be a reason why it takes so long, I just wish I knew what it was.

never listened to 2GB before and after that, there is good reason not to. That interview is akin to taking Scott Morrison to the local pub, finding the staunchest Liberal supporter and permitting them to off topic editorialise.
