Which makes no difference, as, if the competitors in the same quality bracket are highly priced, they can be too...and the wages here will be higher than the competition, so might well be hard to be cheaper.
market forces...people pay what looks right for a quality product. So a quality product can be priced more, and has to be, in a way.
othereise it looks like it isn't as good as the next one along, imported.
just less profit on an Australian built one, than for the imported model.

We have 700,000 + ferraris. Less than 120,000 in the states for the same one. (A few years ago, anyway)
I have seen a 180,000 special ed Holden. Stripped back, fancy engine.
The police had it for a bit ๐
neither comes with a free BBQ though...to get back on topic.
