Mum leaves baby alone in car while she hit the Boxing Day sales
A DEADBEAT mum left her baby alone in a car while she shopped for bargains at the Boxing Day sales.
Police said they expect to charge the 27-year-old woman with leaving a child unattended after leaving the 17-month-old boy alone for an hour and a half.
Officers said they were "left aghast" by the incident at Westfield Doncaster shopping complex.
I wonder how she justified that?

She didn't forget though, she deliberately left him in the car and I am sure she knew she had no licenced driver with her, as well.

Your C & P's are irrelevant. She didn't forget her child was in the car, she left him in it, so she could shop.

azuriline, can we please not do that again?
Freaks me out.

That is bad.
I think people who DO take their babies with them to Boxing Day sales are careless as well. I saw a few today.

Sorry I didn't see if she did it deliberately or not in this ;
"Investigators have been told that a woman drove to attend the sales at the shopping complex on Doncaster Rd with a 17-month-old boy at about 9.30am," Senior Constable Adam West said.
"She parked the car in an undercover car park and attended the centre alone.
"Security were notified of the unattended child by a passer-by at about 10am.
"They made numerous attempts to locate the owner of the car but were unsuccessful.
"Security removed the child and took him to their office where they were met by police," he added.
if security just removed the child ...was the car unlocked ?

Was it a sports car, with the roof down?

Missed the bits that stated she was a learner driver without any licensed driver with her. Whoops, guess she forgot about that too.

Security could not find the woman, so removed the child and took him to the shopping centre office, where they were met by police. It is not clear whether the car was unlocked or security had to force their way in.

it's amazing what some people will forget whilst in pursuit of a "bargain".
Some people might think they got a bargain by waiting until their feet were severely crippled by bad shoes, all in order to save $50 or so when buying new ones.
