Boycott Bali

If the horrific murder of two Australians is carried out then we should boycott Bali and all things Indonesian.

We gave over a $billion dollars to this country after the tsunami, we prop then up with foreign aid and they spit in our faces.

They have  ignored all diplomatic attempts to mitigate their sentences and Watta a Joko has now signed the order to send them to the "killing Island" wouldn't want to kill them on Bali now would they, might upset the tourism business.

I'm appalled and disgusted, scared and frightened for these men and heartsick for their families.

Re: Boycott Bali

I have no doubt that these two guys were part of a much bigger smuggling network.

Hopefully they will also try to smuggle drugs, get caught and be executed as well.

Anyway, that my opinion. You think its cold and hard to stomach, doesnt worry me one bit and wont change my mind at all.

Cause after these two are executed, i bet those against it dont say another word about it till the next Aussie smuggler is caught

Re: Boycott Bali

It was interesting thar SHE-EL and others didn't comment on it.

I did comment on it, but my comment also disappeared, so I guess you must have missed it. Smiley LOL

Since, at that stage,  Icy had not said why she  agreed with a boycott - except to say it was not about the executions - I had no idea what her reason might be; and that is what I said.

They are smuggling drugs at this very moment.  They will never be caught.  We do not have the death penalty in Australia even if they were.

PS.  I asked if you were male or female, because such cold comments do not often come from a female.   Shudder.

Re: Boycott Bali

people need to take responsibility for their actions

if they are going to smuggle drugs in or out of countries where the result is a death penalty then so be it

that is a risk these people take knowing full well the consequences that is why they get paid so much money to do it

its probably a game to these people

you win you lose they probably dont care too much at the time

its only after they have been incarcerated for a period of time they start to think about the

useless life they have been living and re-evaluate themselves

if you are going to "REHABILITATE"there is no better time to do it than in prison or death row

that is why rehabilitated rapists get pardoned and murder their victims so they dont go back to jail

that is why rehabilitated child molesters get pardoned and murder innocent children so they dont go back to jail

easy to REHABILITATE IN PRISON because mostly the situation that drives the crime is not present

who knows how many victims would have died as a result of all that heroine

so far as a firing squad is concerned

it gives a lesser man one last chance on this earth to man up and take responsibility for his actions like a man should

oh and by the way i am female

and i have children and grandchildren that i would like to be safe in a world without all the vermin and that includes drugsmugglers

Re: Boycott Bali

A harsh penalty, but a penalty that was known to all who decided it was worth a shot.

I feel for the parents of these boys, but I also feel for the parents of those children addicted and dying from the same drugs they were happy to profit from selling..

All in the perspective I guess.

Re: Boycott Bali

I don't agree with the death penalty however I do think all of this hangs on getting caught, that changes everything so I do agree in part that rehabilitation can be a scam when it is your only option.
