Boycott Bali

If the horrific murder of two Australians is carried out then we should boycott Bali and all things Indonesian.

We gave over a $billion dollars to this country after the tsunami, we prop then up with foreign aid and they spit in our faces.

They have  ignored all diplomatic attempts to mitigate their sentences and Watta a Joko has now signed the order to send them to the "killing Island" wouldn't want to kill them on Bali now would they, might upset the tourism business.

I'm appalled and disgusted, scared and frightened for these men and heartsick for their families.

Yes they had

had they? I wasn't aware of that.

Fast forward 10 years, if it was a child of yours who made that choice, for whatever reason, what would you do?

And most likely would have continued if not caught, they were extremely foolish, were they junkies themselves? If they were than it is understandable, if it was purely for money then I have little sympathy for them in a way however they have suffered enough.

Our media is not focusing on all the facts.

I have no doubt that these two guys were part of a much bigger smuggling network.

Hopefully they will also try to smuggle drugs, get caught and be executed as well.

Anyway, that my opinion. You think its cold and hard to stomach, doesnt worry me one bit and wont change my mind at all.

Cause after these two are executed, i bet those against it dont say another word about it till the next Aussie smuggler is caught

They are smuggling drugs at this very moment.  They will never be caught.  We do not have the death penalty in Australia even if they were.

PS.  I asked if you were male or female, because such cold comments do not often come from a female.   Shudder.

If me not feeling sorry for heroin smugglers who manipulate, lie, threaten and kill others makes me cold, then so be it.

Im not the only "cold" female either according to what im reading on many news social media sites.

and on the other side of the coin (see my earlier post)

How would you feel, if it were one of your children who died from taking the drugs these people were happy to make a profit from?

Re: Boycott Bali

What someone's grandchildren do has nothing to do with Indonesia.

It does, however, have to do with how they are being raised.  If that process is faulty to that degree, then other people who sell drugs are not to blame.

In saying that, we do have to protect those children who have not been raised to value their own bodies, but still Indonesia has nothing to do with that either.  That is the duty that Australia owes to its citizens.

Yes, they had done it before. I cant remember which news reported that.

I also read that they had purchased tickets to do it again after this time.

What would i do if it were my child? I cant imagine. Id probably do what any other parent would do and try and get them off. Who wouldnt? But this isnt about what the parents are doing.

Probably the same way, fortunately, my children are all aged 32 to 40 yo, stable with their own children, so unlikely event.

I am aware that this scenario could very well have been one I might have faced 20 years ago. Sometimes children make poor choices....... I think I was lucky that the choices mine made were not as serious as this.

It kind of is..................... Scott Rush's parents had a friend advise the AFP about the intended smuggling operation, that is why they are where they are today.
