If the horrific murder of two Australians is carried out then we should boycott Bali and all things Indonesian.
We gave over a $billion dollars to this country after the tsunami, we prop then up with foreign aid and they spit in our faces.
They have ignored all diplomatic attempts to mitigate their sentences and Watta a Joko has now signed the order to send them to the "killing Island" wouldn't want to kill them on Bali now would they, might upset the tourism business.
I'm appalled and disgusted, scared and frightened for these men and heartsick for their families.

These guys were never gonna be let off. Indonesia would never back down. I suspect they have dragged it on just show that they are the ones in control of this situation and they enjoy watching some of Australia get upset about it
I suspect you're right but we can't let the appalling comments that Abbott will bring death down on these two men when he and his govt are doing everything in their power to prevent that.
It's leftist hate and has no place in this thread.

i agree with you - they were never going to back down.
I disagree in regards to what Abbott said though, I believe he has made Australia look bad.

Really.
You would have bragged about it if you had done ANYTHING.
That's your way.this is the funniest post on this entire thread!!!
Abbott had no right to 'handle' this situation the way he did.
Once again his lack of tact has put Australians in a bad light.he is now even accused of being the reason these two poor benighted Australians will be executed. Being accused that it's his fault if they are executed. How funny do you find that?
Perhaps you should go back and read the entire comment, and if your grasp of English grammar is not all that good, ask someone else to explain how the entire sentence, which is broken into three by commas, means something different from the extraction of one part.

Can I point out your last sentence is very personal and rude?
The long lead up to the executions must be excruciating for all involved. Not knowing when..waiting, waiting.
Please poiint out where I was "rude" oh dear me "rude" when someone accuses the PM of hastening the death or even that if they are killed it's somehow his fault?
Take your indignation somewhere else this is not the place for lectures and feigned offence

My post is specfic to what I referred to. It followed on from the first line in my post.
Posters choose which threads they post in, not by directions of others 🙂
The PM comments are not 'personal'.

Makes us look bad to Indonesia. Who cares if we look bad to them. They'll still execute people on death row and take the money Australia hands over to them regularly. Our money doesnt look to bad to them, thats for sure.

The Govt cares. International relations (especially near neighbours) needs careful handling, not some bumble headed, aggro PM.
