Halal certification funding terrorism = a big fat lie.
Crude Oil funding terrorism = fact.
So IF you are really so concerned about the spread of Islam, the horror of terrorism, and the threat of muslims taking over Australia then I suggest you stop driving a car.
So far this fact has been ignored in the halal obsessed threads which is very odd given the feverish arguments about Islamic terrorism.

I am used to dealing with people with special needs. I am incredibly patient and will not rush them. Do you know how difficult it is to get a name and an address (when getting the right details is so important) from a person with a speech impediment or someone who is deaf or someone with cerebral palsy? I'm absolutely happy to stay on the line and try and try and try to figure out what they are trying to say. I have to put in 110% concentration and effort at times. Sometimes I feel like crying when I can sense the other person getting frustrated with me. And even though I can hear the carer in the background telling them what to say I do not ask the person to put the person speaking in the background on so we can all get on with our lives.
I deal with special needs people every single day at work so please don't tell me you are "offended" by my calling some people dumb because I would NEVER call a person with special needs "dumb".

OK, so you are happy if millions a day flow to ISIL?
By the way, I or nobody else is actually suggesting boycotting petrol. We are just pointing out the irony of the situation. 🙂 As I already said above, but judging from the other posts nobody seems to have read it.
oh der. give ppl a bit of credit for seeing it for what it is fgs.
Given your comments, I'm afraid I can't give you any credit for seeing the irony particularly as you have addressed the topic so very literally.
I'm shattered.

Who is WE? Some Australians do need their meat to be halal certified.
And I'll ask you, as I asked Nero, do you have any evidence to show that meat sourced from an abattoir that is halal certified is more expensive than meat certified from one that isn't?

If that post was in reply to mine, I think you took my post the wrong way.
I was not referring to special needs people ( I worked in the office of a Special Needs school for several years, my sister is a disablity support worker). I would refer to them as intellectually or physically disabled.
I was sympathising with you for having to deal with 'unusual' customers over the phone at work, as per the one in your example.

No, am, my post wasn't in response to your post. It was to the poster that said she was offended by my use of the word "dumb".

OK.. I thought it might not be replying to mine after I wrote my last post.
Usage
dumb
Although dumb meaning ‘not able to speak’ is the older sense, it has been overwhelmed by the newer sense (meaning ‘stupid’).

Dumb used to used for being mute. We now know better.
Dumb, idiot, stupid, all words from the past that don't mean what they used to mean.
