Petrol station has changed my 100 octane petrol to 98 and now I dont know where to get my petrol from, I've tried google but its not helping.

I was wondering if anyone in Sydney would know who sells it.

What is the difference between 95 abd 98.. and does it matter if you use either or at different times.

I have noticed more petrol stations have 98 at some pumps now, and 95 at others. Which mean less pumps you can go to if you want 95.

now gererally i see standard, 95 and 98 (i use 95)

the higher the rating the better quality the fuel

Just use Shell V-Power or Vortex 98 and add 2ml of acetone for each litre of petrol you put in the tank (120ml for a 60l tank) and your fuel economy will improve by at least 10% and as much as 20%.

You can buy 5l drums of acetone from Bunnings on special order for about $25, or go to a specialist paint supplier who sells it in bulk, as the small 500ml containers are too **bleep** dear. This should go without saying, but use pure acetone, NOT nail polish remover which has impurities.

I've been doing this in my V6 Vectra for over 10 years now, and before using acetone, I was averaging 11.2 litres per 100km overall. Since using acetone, my average fuel consumption instantly fell to 9.5 litres per 100km overall and has remained there ever since.

BTW, mine is a petrol engine but acetone works equally as well in diesel engines.
