He apologised.
Another starry eyed photo of Julie

When and how did he apologise?

Obama wasted little time in getting on the front foot and attempted to mitigate the mix of offence and indignation from European leaders and the public. While much of this outrage should be seen as both hypocritical and part of standard political theatre – and despite the fact that signals intelligence might be a useful part of regular US operations – the White House was sensitive to containing wider anti-US sentiment and backlash.
In contrast, Abbott needs to better filter his natural bulldog political instincts, and should apologise to Indonesia. The clear-eyed combative stance that served him well as opposition leader can do more harm than good when dealing with the intricacies and complexities of foreign affairs.

I'm sorry......it worked with germany.
Funny you accuse the Guardian and the ABC of witholding information for political purposes considering that is what happens with boat arrivals and the LNP.
Scott Morrison hiding behind 'secretive navy information that we do not want people smugglers to know;
Wasn't it 6 months ago you mob were crying about Julia changing media laws and taking away the Australian peoples 'right to know'?
And peoples freedom of opinion? The freedom of journalists to have an opinion........
Then Andrew Bolts shows what a hypocrite he is by calling journalists who report on global warming to be 'fired' and then a call for the head of the ABC to be fired for reporting information......
All this blow up for something 'every country does'.......funny how its used by both sides as well as Indonesians as a political weapon.....then again , maybe people with LNP logos on their twitter Avatars shouldn't be using twitter to call these people 'monkeys' and not expect them to burn our "made in China' flags

Or is it fair enough do you think?
apparently to some it is
though curiously using gun boats on Asylum seekers isn't
and is ,infact according to some something which some believe would show that our Country deserves/are worthy of respect.
Go figure!

I was simply responding to AM's comment about the article making some good points.

Obama apologized to Merkel when she called him on Wednesday to seek clarification on the issue, Der Spiegel wrote, citing a source in Merkel's office.

I just don't like to read the generalizations on either side and there are a lot more of them than us, I am sad that some of them may label me as a racist because there are some in this country that are.
Did anyone watch Q & A this week? I was amazed they didn't bring up the caste system or if they did I missed it.

Who to believe when various November reports state Obama should have apologised?
