OMG!
And most of the country thinks this numbskull is suitable PM material??
And if that isn't bad enough when asked about Mr Kings proposed radical new policing system in which criminal suspects (only suspects mibnd you. Which i think means all Muslims in Mr Kings world) would be injected with satellite trackable micro chips shot from a "high powered sniper rifle" his response was:
"I'm just not going to get into the micro-detail of policing," Mr Abbott said.
Micro detail? That is policing? How about "I'm not going to comment on what is obviously a ridiculous statement by King"? That would have been a more appropriate response Mr Abbott.

It is ok to feel confronted....no matter what it is that you can see, isn't it?
I usually just walk on and get over, it if it isn't anything harmful..............
is this off topic?
Tony Abbott feels confronted by the burqa................ he should have just walked on and been polite enough to not comment about his confrontation, since it was not going to harm him in any way.

which is really all that 'PC' is anyway. it was once a given that politicians didn't try to offend the electorate, so you simply consider All of them when speaking publicly. somehow the right press has made that simple courtesy an offence of some type. very odd.

Who told you that is what being PC means? Because you got steered wrong. Being PC is playing the game regardless of what your personal thoughts on whatever the subject is. Nothing to do with being respectful or polite, it's not about giving the opinion you believe in when asked.

So if Rudd said the same thing?
Nevermind, you'd just spin it in his favour.

Hello Nevyn
If only everyone felt free to say what they think instead of being politically correct about everything.
Do you really think that would be a good thing? For politicians, teachers, Dr's and everyone else to say what they think all the time?
As far as the politicians go, I would rather they say what they think. What to teachers & doctors have to do with this discussion? No qualifications needed to be a politician so what they think without being PC is important, IMO.
You mentioned everyone, not just politicians. Are you suggesting only politicians should be able to say what they think, not be PC?
Pauline Hanson was not PC, didn't get her very far did it?

when it comes down to it , apart from choice.. is anybody who participates doing anything much else ?
but if rudd had said it, i'd simply like him a little less. i actually dislike both of them to be honest but i prefer labor policies apart from refugee and foreign policy where both are captive to the bleeep.

Yes.
This is a thread on what Abbot said.
Seriously, I expected more from you.
