OMG!
And most of the country thinks this numbskull is suitable PM material??
And if that isn't bad enough when asked about Mr Kings proposed radical new policing system in which criminal suspects (only suspects mibnd you. Which i think means all Muslims in Mr Kings world) would be injected with satellite trackable micro chips shot from a "high powered sniper rifle" his response was:
"I'm just not going to get into the micro-detail of policing," Mr Abbott said.
Micro detail? That is policing? How about "I'm not going to comment on what is obviously a ridiculous statement by King"? That would have been a more appropriate response Mr Abbott.

why on earth would you want to wear a helmet in a bank>?
to conceal your identity?

exactly.... but that is not what a woman wearing a burqa is doing.

What's she doing then?

That can't happen again, they have taken steps to ensure the id of people making statements now.

whether it is a bike helmet, a veil, a ski mask, the fact is, a person cannot be identified.

I can only assume so...but I live in Qld, so this may help.
In 2011 a NSW Muslim woman convicted of falsely accusing a police officer of trying to remove her burqa won an appeal, because it could not be proven she was the woman in burqa who complained.
NSW police later were given the legal power to require people to remove any head coverings, including a burqa, and anyone who refused could be fined.
Queensland police who arrest a suspect in a burqa can have it removed for identification purposes, and in extreme cases of refusal a person could be charged with obstructing police.
But police said requests to remove the burqa would be handled with cultural sensitivity and generally by a female officer.

They can be if they are asked to remove it. Banks have their own rules..............

I walked into a pub once to ask for directions and was asked to remove my baseball cap for the security cameras. Why would they want me to be identifiable? I wasn't going to do anything wrong. I swear.

So, the pub makes it's own rules too......................... they are allowed to.
