Cats and Christmas trees ... ๐ณ ... one way to get round it is the 'pop up' tree .. we have found from terrible experience that it worked for us this year ... ๐

Ichabod has been a darling around the Christmas Tree - no naughty climbing at all.
Iโm worried about him, though. He clearly misses mum, and Iโm at mumโs side for much of the day, so heโs not having as much interaction / company. Heโs not eating his wet food much. He will eat dry food which Iโve given in little bits in desperationโฆ but heโs supposed to be primarily on wet food (urinary stress + metabolic).
Any suggestions?

There is a good chance he is stressing because you are stressing. Cats can generally handle solitude but be uneasy with changes in routine. As long as he doesn't get dehydrated (bad for kidneys) or lose a lot of weight quickly (causing lipidosis) he should be ok. If he stops eating completely for more than 2 days take him to Vet. Keep an eye on his toileting as well. Otherwise try not to worry too much.
And of course he misses his Grandmother, hope she's home soon.
