I never gave my son a dummy I felt it created dependency as I went from a dummy to suck.ing my thumb until I was 12 and had to wear braces for ever.

I am pleased that worked for you Nefertiti. Sometimes it is a necessity for some babies.
2 of mine had dummies. They gave them up by their 1st birthdays.
One refused a dummy and sucked her 3 middle fingers until she was 10.
The others didn't have them and didn't need them. One had a dependancy on me, the other on a comforter blanket. Different things for different people.

these were the dummies recalled only last week for fear of choking, so sad this happened to your friend Pj:-(

Some are having some really awful problems and all I can say is I hope we all have better times ahead - maybe not what jvh would have said, but she's special!

Hello to everyone else, interesting day for us. Brought OH his new toy, now hes happy!! He's like a 2 year old playing with his new train lol

My putty cat is sick, please send her positive vibes and prayers. I'll get her to the vet first thing, so hoping its not bad.

On that note I think I need to seriously attempt sleeping...
