Finished babysitting for today - had both neice and nephew - bought a couple of bottles of brandy on the way home (medicinal purposes LOL).

She's at the vet right now. OH took her, he absolutely adores her. Not bad for a bloke that once hated cats. Now he lubs them to death lol

I hope your cat is ok, chitchat. I am not a cat person and many years ago, hubby bought one home for me. It was a feral cat and surviving at the local tip.
I was a bit ....... miffed? that he thought I liked cats. (I don't hate them)
We tolerated each other for a few years and one day, when I was mourning the loss of a child, he came and climbed on my lap. That was the beginning of a long friendship and Icame to love him. We can never have cats as there are allergy to cat sufferers in the family but Misty will always have a special place in my heart.
It is quite cold here tonight, so I am off to make soup!
We lost him at 13 yo when an idiot set rabbit traps on our property, we found him and the vet amputated his leg but he was so sad and just didn't recover.

I have been busy the last few days and everything is catching up on me..i am really tired and feel like i could sleep forever..or at least a good 10 hours ....
had a filling at the dentist and it broke 2 days later grrr and on a vegemite sandwich, was the soft bread part, not the crust...
oh well its fixed again,,,,i am begining to dread the dentist esp when that gigantic needle heads my way...yikes

Chit-chat - hope kitty ok?
Just like Karen I was never a cat person but...the man next door died suddenly and his black& white cat had no home so I adopted him.
Lovely creature - never complained - always came to greet me on arrival home - and used to purr SO LOUD I thought he would bust!:-)
Lasted 11 years, a great friend.:-)
Since then I became a "convert" and I have some lovely stories about my feline friends that I'll share at another time - on a catty thread.
Sorry you not the best pj - I hate the dentist (poor people - they do a great job! LOL :-D)
And that reminds me, I'm due a visit!:_|

Karen, we had pumpkin soup for tea, followed by apple crumble and cream. I'm sure I just expanded another two inches LOL

It's amazing how animals can find such a special place in your heart.

Although since the dog (Dalmatian) dug up my snow pea plants for a snack (fetish), that love is somewhat tested lol He is now grounded forever lol

My name is Libby and i'm pretty new to community spirit so i thought i would introduce myself to you all,and tell you a little bit about myself.
I'm 42 married with five kids ranging in age from 18 to just turned 1.

I'm so glad i stumbled across community spirit (only ever looked at ask a member)while the two little ones are watching their kiddie shows i get to look at the threads and either laugh or cry.My sincere condolences to pj.bear on the lose of her freinds little girl.

Well thanks to everyone who contribute to the threads you sound like a great bunch of people and i look forward to chatting in the future now back to the two word game (that's an addictive game.)
