Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Hi there everyone:)
Hope your all doing well:)
Well I have finally decided to get the airconditioning in, have been procrastinating about it for quite a while as there are only a few days out of the year I feel the need for it, and I do seem to have quite a cool home also think being near the ocean helps but have decided so just waiting for the installer now, lol, hope the share market keeps going up:)
Good luck with sorting out the retirement living jvk:)
The Fraser Coast is gorgeous and I often run down to brisvegas if you get a good run tis only about 4 hours allowing for a couple of stops:)

Hi Dame yes we put in air con in the remainder of the house last year........the humidity effects me a great deal since having rads to my lungs for the BC........it was marvellous to be able to get into the kitchen and cook away just marvellous.......we previously had the air con in the master bedroom only.

I think the OH is still recovering from the shock of the bill to air con the living area and kitchen:)

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Good evening everyone!

JVH not long now till you see your mum! You have really done well beating the swine flu quite fast and without having to be admitted to hospital - hope you pick up and get back to normal quickly! I'm still so paranoid regards this flu especially regards my mum who suffers chest infections.

Dame - enjoy that aircon!! Best of luck too on the sharemarket - my OH enjoys it as well (most of the time lol) - although I think he mainly buys/sells thru the US sharemarket.

Dancing I thought you guys had already passed thru the swine flu hit - hopefully there will be a vaccine before you go into your winter. We generally visit the USA over xmas - but it is still like summer in Florida where OH's family live.

Libby nice of you to host your sisters birthday! Always great to get the family together!

Sweet dreams everyone!

Yes its been dreadful here.

Not sure if you have the normal flue needle yearly but both the doctors that i go to say it does give some very small protection ie one will get the swine flue as we both did......but a milder version.

The first symptoms are a funny sort of headache......ie a real full feeling in the head.......a very sore throat........also very sore joints.

I hope none of you get it as it totally poleaxes you......one feels as though one has been hit by a truck:)

Hi Miss and yes the old boy is nearly back to normal........the first signs are a strange type of headache the head feels very full and woozy........and a very sore raw throat......sometimes big time joint pains as well.

For the tamiflue to have any effect work etc........it has to be started within 48 hours of the symptoms starting.

Yes im sure you must be very worried about Mumma....... my doctors that i go to said that as i have had the ordinary flue needle that it does give a very very mild protection......in other words of course one will get the swine flue if you come into contact with people that have had it..but the symptoms arnt so bad.......would have hated to have had a full blown dose of it:)

What age is your Mumma:).....my old darling is 89 ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Good morning everyone

JVH glad you only had a mild swine flu experience (tho it sounds horrible) - my mumma just turned 70 - she is very fit but does get awful chest infections with the flu. I had to call an ambulance on one occasion as she couldn't breathe - (I moved in for a week to take care of her) - as she was bedridden. It frightened me.

Today is a bit sad as the nephew I lost would have turned 27 today - happy birthday sweetheart. All I can do is take some flowers to the cemetary and make sure his mum dad and grandparents are ok.

My neice (5yrs) is spending the weekend with me. I have been downloading kids recipes as she loves to cook (aaaaaahhhhh!) - but I'm very excited she is coming.

Hope everyone enjoys their Friday - it's windy, freezing and raining here!
