Oh dear Purps, this is no good. Not sure if swine flu can bounce back, but it sure sounds like it may have in your case!
Did you get to the doctors this morning?
Hope you get some relief at least after your shower and panadol.
Kerry, hope you have a good time tonight, and good luck with those phone calls re jobs. And I hope your son is feeling better.
Me? Well I saw my doctor this morning, and he upset me quite a bit by what he said to me when I told him that I was depressed, cried at the drop of a hat, felt worthless, had no motivation, didn't sleep well [waking up early, eg 4am], felt useless because I was unable to get a job, hated myself for weighing as much as I do etc etc.
He said, "Well everyone has bad things that upset them during their life, you are not the only one. Look at me, I have a lot of stress, and things don't go right for me either. And lots of people are out of work now."
Up till today I had a lot of respect for my GP because he always seemed understanding, and very good with me when I had the Ross River Virus in March/April, and resp tract infection a couple of months back. But today I had tears well up in my eyes, and had to bite my tongue to not say anything back.
Anyways, he wrote me up for Lexapro which is what I had been taking early last year, and has referred me to a psychologist here in the Bay. Hopefully that psych. will either just bulk bill me, or have a very small gap. Failing that, I think I can get psych visits free through a Job Capacity Assessment.
He's going to make up some sort of Care Plan I think it was.........can't really remember what exactly he said, but I see him again tomorrow to get that done.
And he's put me on Somac for my acid reflux.
The Goldens had their bath today by the Hydro Dog lady, and as soon as they saw her van arrive out the front, they ran down the back behind the house. Shadow, my male Golden, had to literally be dragged into her van for his bath. Once that was done and he was all dried off by her blow dryer, and sprayed with nice deodorant and smelling sweet, we let him in the house.
Well he went ballistic! Running around at top speed, crashed into a set of 4 plastic cube storage shelves set up in the lounge room......DVD's and CD's went flying, the shelves themselves fell apart.
Then he jumped onto our bed and proceeded to dig furiously at the bedding, scrunching up the sheets and blankets all the way down to the bottom of the bed.
Bolted out of there and crashed into the kitchen tidy before swinging past the coffee table and knocking our remote control holder down, with that falling apart as well!
I guess that was his way of 'punishing' us for having him bathed. Made me laugh.......well after a while when I'd calmed down after seeing the destruction inside the house.
Had a phone call today from a woman who I went to high school with. We finished year 10 back in 1974, and apart from meeting up again at the reunion last September in Sydney, I had not seen or heard from her since our school days.
Turns out she is holidaying here in Hervey Bay right now, and after a chat we made plans to meet here tomorrow for morning tea. Will be good to catch up with her again.
Dame Moo, thank you for phoning me, sorry I turned into a blubbering idiot on the phone. I really appreciated talking to you.
Well, it is almost 7pm and after being up since 4.30am today, I think I shall head off to bed to read for a bit, and hopefully get some sleep.
Take care everyone, have a pleasant night.
