> Oh dear Purps, this is no good. Not sure if swine flu can bounce back, but it sure sounds like it may have in your case!
> Did you get to the doctors this morning?
> Hope you get some relief at least after your shower and panadol.
>
> Kerry, hope you have a good time tonight, and good luck with those phone calls re jobs. And I hope your son is feeling better.
>
> Me? Well I saw my doctor this morning, and he upset me quite a bit by what he said to me when I told him that I was depressed, cried at the drop of a hat, felt worthless, had no motivation, didn't sleep well [waking up early, eg 4am], felt useless because I was unable to get a job, hated myself for weighing as much as I do etc etc.
>
> He said, "Well everyone has bad things that upset them during their life, you are not the only one. Look at me, I have a lot of stress, and things don't go right for me either. And lots of people are out of work now."
>
> Up till today I had a lot of respect for my GP because he always seemed understanding, and very good with me when I had the Ross River Virus in March/April, and resp tract infection a couple of months back. But today I had tears well up in my eyes, and had to bite my tongue to not say anything back.
>
> Anyways, he wrote me up for Lexapro which is what I had been taking early last year, and has referred me to a psychologist here in the Bay. Hopefully that psych. will either just bulk bill me, or have a very small gap. Failing that, I think I can get psych visits free through a Job Capacity Assessment.
>
> He's going to make up some sort of Care Plan I think it was.........can't really remember what exactly he said, but I see him again tomorrow to get that done.
> And he's put me on Somac for my acid reflux.
>
> The Goldens had their bath today by the Hydro Dog lady, and as soon as they saw her van arrive out the front, they ran down the back behind the house. Shadow, my male Golden, had to literally be dragged into her van for his bath. Once that was done and he was all dried off by her blow dryer, and sprayed with nice deodorant and smelling sweet, we let him in the house.
>
> Well he went ballistic! Running around at top speed, crashed into a set of 4 plastic cube storage shelves set up in the lounge room......DVD's and CD's went flying, the shelves themselves fell apart.
> Then he jumped onto our bed and proceeded to dig furiously at the bedding, scrunching up the sheets and blankets all the way down to the bottom of the bed.
> Bolted out of there and crashed into the kitchen tidy before swinging past the coffee table and knocking our remote control holder down, with that falling apart as well!
>
> I guess that was his way of 'punishing' us for having him bathed. Made me laugh.......well after a while when I'd calmed down after seeing the destruction inside the house.
>
> Had a phone call today from a woman who I went to high school with. We finished year 10 back in 1974, and apart from meeting up again at the reunion last September in Sydney, I had not seen or heard from her since our school days.
> Turns out she is holidaying here in Hervey Bay right now, and after a chat we made plans to meet here tomorrow for morning tea. Will be good to catch up with her again.
>
> Dame Moo, thank you for phoning me, sorry I turned into a blubbering idiot on the phone. I really appreciated talking to you.
>
> Well, it is almost 7pm and after being up since 4.30am today, I think I shall head off to bed to read for a bit, and hopefully get some sleep.
>
> Take care everyone, have a pleasant night.

Hugs Lilly and so sorry that the doctor wasnt perhaps as understanding as one could have been..........

I read the story on the goldens oh boy did they go wild but hell it must have been funny.............they were being very very bold

Did you have the thyroid checked and maybe the ladies hormones as well..........i know when i was going through the change hell i was dreadful...........some woman do it super tough:(

Hope you feel stronger in the am:):)

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Evening all,

Late here popped in to catch up!

JVH - along with libby also wondering how your son's house-hunting is going? Glad things seem a little better for you and I do hope your OH plays golf tomorrow so you get some 'me' time!

Dame well done on finding the curtains - I love popping into the Op shops - you never know what you will find. Have you got them up yet?

Lilly sorry your GP visit didn't go well - at least you got a referral and a prescription but other than that your GP was not very understanding - only adding to your distress. Hope you manage a good sleep tonight.

Purple hope you too are feeling better. Perhaps you tried to do too much too soon? Take care of you!!

Nef - so happy to see you are much happier! Enjoy the barbie and your new friends. Amazing how everything falls into place all of a sudden - and about time for you!

hey Libby - hope your little one is ok - such a worry when they are so small and helpless.

An old school friend is coming down from Qld. next week - and a group of us are going to see BABBA (sort of a reunion) - haven't seen her in years so looking forward. She's coming down for her parents 50th wedding anniversary - can't wait!

Sweet dreams everyone!

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Good morning all. Ben awake since about 3.30. But I do feel better than I was last night. I am going for a massage this morning if I feel okay.

I think maybe I did not give myself enough recovery time. So will try to take it easy for the next couple of days.

Am booked for a scan on my hip tomorrow. Could be another cortisone injection. Ouch.

Dame good on you getting the curtains. I bought a lot of my cutrains from the local op shop when we had the house.

Missnogal sounds like a nice time coming up for you. Have fun.

Libby will look out for that when I am at the chemist later today.

To everyone hope you are well and have a great day.

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Thank you purps, libby, jv, and missnogal for your kind words.

Purps, that's the plan the Dr was talking about I think. I shall find out more this afternoon when I go see him.
I'm glad you're feeling a tad better, yes, take things easy and maybe those vitamins are what you need.

JV, I had my thyroid levels done etc early this year as part of routine blood tests, they were fine. I am low in my iron levels though, so I've started back on iron supplements.
Menopause happened to me years ago now, so I can't blame these symptoms I've had over the past couple of months to that.
As for my golden bulldozer, that was just the male, Shadow who created all that disaster. He tends to go a bit crazy after a shampoo, dry and deodorizing, but not quite that crazy as a rule.

P has been very very supportive, hugging me through my tears, telling me all good and positive things, and while I deeply appreciate it, I just can't believe the good things he says about me. I don't feel worthy enough if you know what I mean. Thank heavens for him though, or I would be in a much deeper hole.

missnogal, your upcoming reunion sounds fun. Last Sept when I attended our high school reunion and our little group of friends was together again, it was wonderful.

I was awake till late last night, midnight or so, just couldn't nod off, and up again early, but that's par for the course of late.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

How is your little 3 year old angel...........hope she is feeling better today

Mother still the same.........its been a very long long road:(

Hi Libby and thanks for asking after the kids..........they were both bitterly disappointed in missing out on the house. Sonny boy is serious considering going back into service..........when he first talked about getting out i begged him not to........but of course they have to find out for themselves.......so hes trying to get back in ๐Ÿ˜ž

Lots of strain on our Angel..........he is getting casual work from time to time.........and thankfully money worries are not rearing their head:)

Hey and enjoy the reunion..........bet you all have a blast:)
