Had a marvellous time in Brissie had Japanese with the kids and as always great to catch up and hear all the goss etc...........what a privledge it is having her in the family:)

Glad to hear the little one is feeling a lot better they can go down so quickly but of course can bounce back big time:)

Hi Missnogal and yes had a great day only just back in off the train.............always a privledge to spend time with them both:) She just loved the bracelet and apparently according to sonny boy had been eyeing off something very similar in a Brissie jewellers...........phew im still in the good books lol

Shes a ton of fun and they are going up the north coast for a couple of days r and r:)

Good evening everyone:)
Well this ol dame has been busy today, my mechanic has uncovered a few problems with the car, the road worthy was pretty bad, so I have had a big day with the dept of transport people, they put Chilly (my red car) over the pits and took mega photos which they sent me.
Went to my solicitor this afternoon and I decided to take action against the owner for selling me a vehicle in an unroadworth condition, he then has to take action against the firm who issued road worthy certificate.
As I am now the owner the dept issued me with a defect notice that I have to have fixed in 14 days and it is going to cost a bit.
Contacted former owner and he does not want to get involved with solicitors and courts so he said we will go halves and I said NO as I bought the vehicle in good faith and paid the asking price, so as it now stands he will pay labor costs and I will pay parts, so a very expensive lesson for this ol dame lol
My last words to him were, I may be a lil ol lady but I aint no fool, I shall take you to court and recover my expenses even if I have to garnishee your wages and I buddy will.
So that is the latest episode in the buddy red car lol
After that I do hope your all well and a Happy Birthday to Libbys son:)

Thanks Jvh and Miss,having a quite one the familiy will popping over during the day to see him.We went to the city today to get him some cricket shoes for part of his Bday pressie.And Sunday we have the 18 year olds Grand Final in football.Muggins here got stuck with the job of organising the t-shirts for if they win,here's hoping they do.

Dame so sorry to hear of your car drama - I really admire the way you have gone about handling this dilemma - (seller should absoloutely not be allowed to get away with this (crime) - perhaps the roadworthy was issued (by a friend of his?) - just hope it works out favorably. (It is a lovely little car - hope this doesn't take all the joy away from your new wheels!

To everyone - wish you all a fantastic weekend!! Going out for dinner tomorrow with some friends of ours - and hope to get to the shops (foot permitting lol!)

Hello there miss, yep I will get the car sorted, I feel quite chuffed about it today, sorta slept on it all lol:)
I wander these boards sometime and have a look at threads and I am sure I cannot understand why we cannot turn the other cheek so as to speak with some threads, I often wonder if some posters post because they feel the need for company and maybe everything is not 100% accurate, but being judge and jury and outed them is surely not the way to go, just thinking out loud lol

Hi Dame and geez thats so dammed unfair.............mind you some people think that one is fair game for a rip off when one is a woman...........i do hope you get it sorted...........cant he be made to totally refund you for the car and you start all over again?

Yes Dame i agree with you.............i think there must be some people that have way too much time on their hands...........:(
