WE HAVE ALL AT SOME TIME BEEN BURNT BY THE FIRES OF HELL EITHER MENTALLY OR PHYSICALLY..DURING SOMETIME IN OUR LIFE....SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO SHARE SOMETHING THAT IS TROUBLING YOU OR HAS TROUBLED YOU I SINCERELY HOPE THAT YOU WILL GET THE SUPPORT HERE:)

Gooooooooooooooooooooooood morning all..............got up super early to take a sunrise shot thinking it would be special with all the dust etc........no such luck:( will try for a sunset shot this evening.

How is everyone...........just bout to take the hound for a walk.............the OH wanted me to paint the fence........but as there is still quite a bit of dust about i told him a couple of naughty words:)...........MEN

jv for a start ,, MR jv should be painting the fence, if he can chase a lil white ball about, he can paint a fence..but see what he says to you when you tell HIM to paint the fence...you have enough to deal with, with your poor mum ( bless her) than worryy about a fence ..orrrr you could paint it bright pink and explain that he did not say WHICH colour to paint it LOL

hey miss nogal how are you?? yep 2 days of storms was enough for me , but I enjoy a good storm anyway, the thunder was seriously loud, it must of been sitting on my roof becasue things were falling off of my bathroom cabinet..The rain was just relentless but Lord knows we needed it... I had to wait for a break in it just so's I could get the mail in...

My back is really sore so puter use will be limited for a couple of days from today, just the occassional post...

Hi JVH - I agree with pjbear - your OH can paint the fence if he is able to chase the little white balls (when the weather permits) - hope you enjoy your day.

Hi pjbear - sorry your back is giving you grief - hope you are able to get back to the computer soon (without discomfort) - also please know everything is crossed for return to better health for you. You certainly have had a rough trot. Hope the sun shines for you today!

Hi everyone and had a day from Hell but am still plodding.

Went and saw Mother and spent time with her and the Chaplain arrived which was lovely such a dear person and very understanding.

Mother is very poorly and was and is semi in the foetal position........however she did look very peaceful.......tranquil and beautifully clean.........one lovely staff memeber bought me in a coffee and gave me a couple of blocks of choccie

Home front isnt good...........the old boy is out of his box big time........and this afternoon im just totally ignoring him.....life can throw you some lemons sometimes.

Going to go have a rest and go back down and spend the evening with Mother

Thanks for all your support........it never ceases to amaze me how woman always seem to stick together through any sort of crisis:)

Sorry you are having a bad day with the OH - must be going around atm! Nothing worse than a bad atmosphere around the home - really drags you down. Good for you for staying strong and ignoring it and getting on with your day. I think you are a very strong lady! And you are right - women do stick together in a crisis.

At least your mum was peaceful today - one thing less to upset you - I do hope your day improves and your OH crawls back into his box.

Hi Missnogal..........and yes just in from the nursing home........was a lovely quiet special time.........they had some perfumed oil burning so lovely mucic playing on her little stero thing and it was just lovely and tranquil....the OH is crawling but im really too tired to care .......oh the joys lol

Well I am having a reflective night tonight, my Mum is getting a tad frail now with a problem with her leg and she is finding it a bit hard to get around.
I rang my brother last night to tell him of my concerns re Mum and I got in touch with the assessment team leader for aged care this afternoon as the assessment was done in january for my stepdad to go into low level care and after talking with her she feels that things have escalated and he will have to go to high care.
She is going to visit them on Tuesday and my brother is coming up on wednesday or thursday and taking it all out of Mums hands and putting him in.
He is going to check out 2 facilities and decide which one.
Mum still is not aware of this and I cannot tell her so shall leave it up to him.
The dilema that we are faced with is 2 elderley frail people, one with her facilities still intact but at 84 years of age starting to have more health problems and trying to full time care for a dementia patient with very little help because he will not allow help.
I hope I have done the right thing as I see my Mum just failing a little more each day and totally worn out.
Sorry for the scroller, I think I just needed to put that to paper and yes I am probably seeking some attention or maybe just for someone to tell me I am doing the right thing, not sure but as I type this I feel so lonely and unsure and unsettled!

Good evening to you Dame

I just read your post and firstly you are absoloutely doing the right thing - your mother's health is deteriorating and she needs to take care of herself - not have to care for someone else (as hard as this may be). I'm glad your brother is there for you - as this is way too much for you to go through by yourself.

It is also in the very best interests of your step-dad and I feel he is lucky to be in your capable hands - I wish every elderly/dementia patient had someone like you who really cares for them and has their best interests at heart to make such decisions for them when they cannot.

Overall at this sad time it is a 'no win' situation you are in - but as time evolves you will understand and come to terms with the fact you did what you had to do - and really, from what I am reading - you have no choice.

It is only because you care so much that this dilemma is so painful and may I return your lovely compliment and say if there were more people like you in this world - the world would be a better place.

Hopefully when the arrangements are made and the dust settles everyone involved will be much happier/healthier (including you) - I send you positive thoughts and energy and blessings to get you through this heartbreaking situation - best wishes, sharon
