Goooood morning all and we have had another nice drop or 2 of rain over night...........but in for a mega humid day.......not looking forward to it at all.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend........the OH has gone to golf thankfully.....its in another of its moods again:( Oh well 🙂

Got my son coming down later this week to give me a hand with mothers house........see how much more we can get done to it:) slowly and surely chipping away:)

Hi pjbear glad you decided to come back you were missed. You are always safe in here btw - such lovely posters. Regards the snags - I like to par boil mine before grilling as it takes away a lot of the fat content and they cook much faster.

However when we arrived home my bedroom light was flashing like a beacon (and we had left early in the afternoon and I'm a stickler for making sure everything is off) so I took this as a sign that someone was there for me.

Good Morning all, it is a bit hot so I am up very early, but heading back to bed soon, it is going to be 39 here today, i have a friend over from the UK and she is in shock at the weather, she asked me if it is common for it to get so hot, i said "yes, but not usually this early in the season, usually november is Adelaides raint time, but it's been different the last years..." she is staying for two weeks, and she hates the weather ,but has fallen in love with Adelaide, she went to Melbourne and said she prolly wont go back , too busy and she said the roads are just crazy...she was going to go to our open range Zoo ,Monarto today, but she is leaving it til Sunday now..when the weather is going to be much cooler..she cant believe its so hot...LOl she has never experienced anything like it, and she was even more horrified when I said we had a heatwave at the begining of the year and had 13 consecutive days of 40 +..,.

I have a busyish day today, I have to go to the dr's for a wound dressing, then need to pick up some groceries, then i have to try find some parts to my fans...i have 1 going ,but cant find the parts to the other,, grrrrr!

I have a housing inspection on Monday..which they only told me about today..they are supposed to give you 2 weeks notice ...but never mind the place is okay, I have only damaged two doorways, from hitting it with my chair LOL! the garden is tidy but very very brown, so might need to chuck some water on it...

Naji is coping okay in the heat, considering i have no airconditioning..he finds a cool spot and then complains when i damp him down a bit...but he has been playing in a huge garbage bag, and playing with a drinking straw, LOL he is a crack up,, it would be even funnier if he did not start at 2 am.. LOL!

okay its back to bed for me, so have a great day to all and try stay cool and keep those fluids up!!:-x

Lol look at that darling kitty..........and yes our old cat is dead as all through the day and about when we hit the bed shes starts to really play up running around here there and everywhere:)

Gooooooooood morning all and another day with rain.......very nice thank you very much:)

Had a little visit to the docs yesterday and had a biopsy taken of something on my arm.....get the results back friday am.......had a rash on both forearms for a long time and with all the wind down etc with Mothers life i put the visit to the Doctor on the back burner....anyways find out what gives on Friday.

The usual housework and the continuation of the clean today....we have council pick up early next week .......so just may as well avail myself of it")

when you have council pick up, is yours on a set day when it all goes out together? or do you need to book in, and is there a cost involved?

Our council "hard rubbish "pick up needs to be booked in and there is no cost involved, but some people decide to add to your rubbish, and so you need to tell the council what is being put out, as sometimes things are put out that the council wont remove , then its up to the person to get rid of..but sometimes I have booked in and when I have put the stuff out, by morning most of it has been taken by "junk" or reno people...
i don't mind that, but i dont like people adding big stuff without asking me first, we have two collections a year that we are allowed, but my neighbour and I combine ours so between us we get 4...
its great to have a wonderful neighbour like I have, she is 88 and the sweetest lady, with the naughtiest sense of humour.. LOl! i can't even say anything without her turning it around..

like one day she said to me, did you have your fan on last night, my answer was "I actually had it off, last night" she started giggling and i could not figure it out for a minute ..til i said ,,"you have a dirty mind woman" she reckons its my fault for putting the thought in her head LOL!!!
