Hiya pjbear - yes I was awol over the weekend - we had our USA guest here and he was working on our computer (he's a whizz) - the small amount of time we weren't sightseeing! Thanks for missing me! Also thank you for contacting our libby and scatty (you are clever!) Fingers crossed here for great results on Wednesday (your tests) - and hope you get that aircon! Congrats on your house inspection!

Hi halo-jones where do you hail from? I notice you refer to spirits as cocktails which is done in the USA - but USA are going into their winter time? Nice of you to join our thread!

OH stayed in the city last night so I was home alone - it was nice to 'chill' - have a friend coming over for coffee shortly and then some weeding.

take care jv stay cool and keep up them fluids, its hard when you are workin away time just gets away from ya...i think libby was goin on hols, but will contact them anyway...just been out to water my tomatoes, lol, they are goin great guns at this rate I will be able to start my own Tomato farm!!!

Hi Missnogal.........and yes we are getting there with the house.......i think my son is coming down first thing in the am.......i managed to get rid of some stuff out of the basement.....is amazing as to what people do buy:)

Sounds like you are busy in the garden also.....there is always something to do when one has a house:)

Hey there JV.
I am not too bad, my poor daughter has not been well with a chest infection, which has exacerbated her asthma. Consequently we were sitting in A and E at the local hospital at 5.45am on Sunday for 6 hours.
She's now on Rulide but still coughing heaps, wheezing has settled, but she's not felt at all well over the past 5 days. Even declined going over to her boyfriends house the other day, so I know she was sick!
Has had the past 2 days off work, she's determined to be back tomorrow though.

Has been hot here, but certainly not to the extent some of you are feeling it. Max of 29 today, with a 'feels like' temp of just over 30 degree's. No air con, just a couple of fans an an evap air cooler in the lounge.
Going to be a long hot summer eh?

I do hope Dame is enjoying her holiday and her new laptop!

Purps, hope you are enjoying Tassie and the cooler weather.

Got to go now as dinner is cooking. Take care all, try to keep cool, and I hope life is being kind to you all.

hi all, well if you are feelin a bit low atm , here is something thing to chear you up! had my carer come today, we were chatting away and she was having a coffee, I was having a creaming soda... well I asked her if she would please get the plant (philodendron from off of the top of the fridge for me so I can give it some water..well she gets it down , we are still chatting away I get a glass of water put it down for a sec, then my carer brings the plant over I pick up the glass and pour it on the plant, cept it was not water, it was my creaming soda!! D"OH!!!:^O

I am from the land down under, but my folks are from England ( I get told off by my mum for calling it England..she says the correct term is Great Britain"0 and my grandparents are English, and so are my great grandparents, but my Great,great grandparents are from spain...prolly why my whole family are as white as ghosts..apart from my lil sis & myself who have olive skin,,,

One of my carers is as white as snow, reckons I make her sick, with my olive skin which goes fairly dark in summer LOL!!! oh well if ya got it>>>>>>

Lucky you PJ. Olive skin would be so nice, much easier than pale and sunburned!
Has your carers mum had her baby yet? I have forgotten how long ago you mentioned it and I hope all is going well for her.

Hi Lilly and sorry to hear about your daughter that has to be a huge worry for you.........i do hope she feels stronger soon.....no matter what age we still worry about them:)

Looks like a hot one here today i guess we have to cop it with it being summer etc:(
