JVH great news regards the furniture - and glad it is going to a 'nice home'. Your friend won't be able to concentrate on much at the moment as she is probably in a bit of shock. Very nice of you to compose a diary for her family. My philosophy is that 'where there's life - there's hope' - has she considered natural therapy?

Pjbear look after that wrist! Must be horribly confining for you. I missed that episode of Celebrity Masterchef - but did enjoy the Amazing Race last night. (It wasn't the final so still have that to look forward to!) - I also use the GHD (good hair day lol) - protective spray it is very good. Also saw those pandas on t.v. last night and they are headed to your zoo from China!

Purple hope you find something fun in town - perhaps a nice lunch and a little flutter on the pokies? Hopefully the weather your way much better over the weekend!

Hi missnogal and thanks for the suggestion to try natural therapies..........she is adamant that she is not doing chemo or rads.........and the gp has already told her that that form of treatment isnt going to make any difference was i think the words she used in quoting the doc. It just worries me that she has seriously lost her appetite and the tummy seems distended quite a bit.

Yes its a privledge to write to the Irish family........and at the moment she is coping just not too sure what and how she will cope a bit down the track........live sure can throw a curved ball sometimes:(

I am just so angry and needing a vent atm!!!!!!
My buddy X DIL who I usually do not have a bad word to say about has just totally rocked my socks off today
My son is a very high income earner but also pays huge tax and child support
Child support is roughly $2,500 a month for the 3 children and I do not believe it costs that much to support them, given that the mother works as well.
To cut a long story short he has been transferred to Townsville and she will not put any money in to fly the children up for a week at Christmas, so I hope my grandies really appreciate the $886.00 christmas present from me, sheesh.
Had to pay adult fare for the 3 of them as well.
My son was going to have them train it up and I could not see the 3 children (15,14,12) travel by train for 20 hours.
Not a happy jan at all.
Now I have that outa my system will continue my day lol

Hugs Dame those personal relationships are by far the hardest to get just right........so much easier to get a business and keep it running smoothly:)

Hi everyone!
Finally back home. I didn't realise how much I'd missed the mountains lol

Well went to the doctor, looks like I need a hysterectomy and it appears I may have had a small stroke, but it could also be a migraine that has given similar symptoms; so I'm off to see a neurologist.

I tend to think its merely a migraine that caused the numbness but at least she is being thorough.

Anyway I think its not bad news could have been so much worse!

Onward and upward as the saying goes. The princesses have been good, although the eldest has been extremely anxious of late. I guess its all part n parcel of her condition. I'm looking forward to Christmas and plan on spending a fair bit of time with the girls decorating and enjoying the season!

Thanks for waiting to share your email - we need to let one little of bit of philosophy sink in before overwhelming everyone with more!
I am very very well thank you! - the holiday did some amazing things for me - I was very scared to go out from home (my comfort zone) alone - but now I am completely ok with eating alone, meeting new people and travelling alone.
I also find I am much more confident with who I am, generally!
Perhaps the Tiwi ladies actually did remove "some evil spirits" with their smoking ceremony. I really want to go back and meet them again! And I'm going to!:-) booked return holiday in Darwin next March!
Hope your wrist mends soon, and thanks for the lovely thoughts.

There was an important job to be done
& Everybody was asked to do it.
Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it, Anybody could of done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was everybody's job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it,
but Nobody realized that.
Everybody wouldn't do it,so Nobody bothered to do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody
when Nobody asked Anybody....

JVH it is difficult to think of your friend - and all she is going through and really wonder about the hands we are dealt. I just know she is blessed to have a friend like you to catch her when she is down. One is so helpless behind a computer screen but please know compassion and positive energy is sent from the heart. Do take care of you too, you have been through so much! (I have lost 3 very close friends and a nephew in very recent times (2 through debilitating illness and believe me, I know where you are at, and loads of hugs to you!)

Hi pjbear - mr. nobody lives at my house too - (he's been in residence as long as I can remember!) - thank you for the words - they were enjoyed!

Scatty I pictured you as a very confident lady - was surprised (and applauded) your courage in getting out there and enjoying that holiday solo! More power to you! Next time it will be easier and I too, believe in those 'smoking ladies' -

Hi dame - hope you are enjoying the weekend and no more dramas from your DIL. Most unfair on her part. I believe there are the 'givers' and the 'takers' in this world; unfortunately the takers sometimes just go too far!

Was up all night with my neice who was running a fever and totally unwell (when she finally fell asleep (at 4 am) I stayed awake and watched over her) - sent OH out this a.m. for some nurofen (after ringing her mum). Then had to go to a wedding thisafternoon (which was lovely btw) - and subsequently home late and exhausted and ready to sleep for a week. I honestly didn't think I would get through it but after a glass of champagne managed to change gears somewhat, (fortunately lol!)

Thank you Miss and yes i so remember when your nephew died.......that was simply dreadful.....yes and one does really wonder about what cards are dealt in life........my faith has been very sorely tested from time to time:)

Gee who said living in the tropics was all glamour........might be if one had a maid to do all the work in this insufferable heat:(

Going out soon is the OHs birthday to day.....then when i get home going down to spend an hour with Chrissie and hopefully take some photos to send over to Ireland........having dialogue with some of the family there........so that is good........and i think a couple of them are coming out straight after Christmas.........so hopefully Chrissie will be well enough to enjoy etc etc

One of the furniture buyers for mothers stuff is a lovely young doctor........amazing who one meets through life.......what a delightful couple:).......and was privledged to chat to him about my friend.......definitely not a good look and he advised me to try and get the family over asap.....horrible time for all concerned:(
