Afternoon all :-x

The walking's not going good as my knees are stuffed they click and throb at night last night I could hardly walk on my right leg the pain is like a red hot poker in there on a scacle of 1 to 10 about a 5 in pain I am thinking knee reconstructions which would take years to get I reckon I'm going to see my doc about it on Wednesday also diabetes is playing up blood glucose going up.
Well I have the landlord from hell he blames me for leaking taps and lights not working he spent 5 mintues yelling at me the other day telling me single mums are no good etc etc. He also doesnt knock when he comes in just walks in.
So that evening I see an email from the church saying someone is looking for a tenant in a unit, so I emailed and gave my number thinking it'll be in a bad area and no pets. They rang and said yes I can have pets small ones which I have the rent is $55 more a week however the new place is low set a little small but hey less housework, lol. There is only a small strip of grass and it is a end unit its fully a/c and has a cat flap in the main bedroom. I have put in for a bond loan so lets hope all goes well..the new place is in a great suburb we went driving past the units a few times on the way to the beach and I seen the for rent sign and thought they would be really expensive also they looked a little odd from the outside but this is due to a large car area come washing area. The unit is very breezy.
I hope all is well is any1 wants to start moving fund for me I would be most pleased, lol.

Oh geez he sounds like a prize pig the hide of him walking into the house unannounced

HI and hugs to everyone..........Been a super flat out week have had my son my niece the OH myself and the clean up boys working flat out.

My friend has now got what sounds like the start of pneumonia........she is adamanent that she doesnt want to go to the doctors or have a doctor come and visit even though we offered to pay for the house call etc.

She is very scared i think , of being put into hospital and not coming home or seeing her home etc. One of course has to be careful not to ignore her wishes but we are very worried about her........her immune system of course is shot to bits with what she has wrong with her:(

Oh JV that must be so hard. I can understand she is feeling scared but not getting treatment could have far more disastrous consequences for her health.

Maybe re-suggest having a housecall and tell her you will be right there with her supporting her choices.

Sending you HUGS in what must be a very difficult situation.

Sounds like your friend is needing the palliative care team.
They are so wonderful and caring - you can assure your friend they won't do anything to prolong her life, or treat her cancer, but they will give her help with coping, both drugs and psychological!
Please don't be sad! Pneumonia, if properly untreated, is a very peaceful way to go.:-x
All the best - please let your friend know I have been there (personally) and I am trained in this area - so perhaps she'll listen to you a bit more - get palliative care NOW!

Hey JVH hope next week is not as busy for you but very nice you have your son and neice helping out. I agree with scatty re the palliative care - it may help your friend be more comfortable in the interim.

Hiya pjbear yes I remember Bernard King and how he passed several years ago - I used to like the way he called 'a spade a spade' - $50 for a cookbook is pricey - especially when you can google any recipe imaginable on-line. Many thanks for your offer of help will holler! Hope your results are ok on Monday.

Hi kezza - keep that door locked and bolted - no way should the landlord from hell just walk in - how utterly rude and wrong! The new place you have your eye on sounds lovely! Sorry about your knees - but recovery these days is very fast from the surgery and much less invasive (my OH needs it as well).

Hiya scatty - great advice re JVH's friend - hope you are travelling well and not working too hard.

Bella ditto to you - take it easy and don't worry about the housework you are not up to it (and it's not going anywhere!) - have you got anyone close who could give you a hand?

my wrist is still very sore and swollen,,so i had xrays on friday arvo , will pick them up monday and then see the doc... 😞 I hate all this being unwell all the time,, its because I have brittle bones that they break so easily....
oh well life has gotta go on...I gotta make the best of things while I still can!!

Hugs to you all..........and we finally took Chrissie to the Tweed Hospital last night.......i finally had to be a little firm with her and say its off to the hospital you go.......luckily one of the people buying mothers stuff is a young doctor working there so had him chat to her and that swayed her.

Yes the pallative care people are marvellous they were marvellous when mother was dying.

Of course she doesnt want to be away from home and can understand all of that.....however where she is living is quite isolated.....a good 30 min run to either Tweed or Murwillumbah Hospitals.

I have been liasing with rellies in Ireland...and they have said that she has always been a touch stubborn:)........anyways we are muddling along and she is in the best place certainly for the moment.

jen , I am glad that your friend is somewhere she can be looked after and given the medical help she needs,, you know she will never forget your kindness...and someday the kindness will be returned.

well I am off to bed for a bit of a lie down, just had tea, and had to share with Naji, he has now taken up residency on the bed LOL! (hopefully not on my side!)
