hey all, well I can't sleep, I am feeling really low atm, and i cant vent antwhere else, if I say anything i get attacked for it ... 😞
i am so down atm, I absolutely dislike this time of year makes me sad to see everyone else happy and cheerful and chatting about their christmas plans, yet I am expected to travel 2 hours to go to the family christmas..I dont want to go, but to keep the peace and to stop the tears , I am going to,,...My family are giving me the willies,, since i broke my wrist not one of them has rung me to see how I am or if I need anything...not one!!
my mother has pnemonia 3 times last week i rang her to see how she was,, and ,I am told that I am selfish for not going to her place and doing her housework and shoppng...what the hell?? I cant get into her place for a start and how am i supposed to do any of that while in a wheelchair with a broken wrist???sooner I leave adelaide the better,,thing is I love Adelaide,,(not the heat part tho)
Do they not get it??? I am still waiting for my friend to repay me the money she owes me...I am not loaning anymore money out,,not ever my mum took over a year to pay me back $100 and my aunty took nearly 2 years to give me back $800 don't they realize that ,That is my savings.. I tell you between all this garbage and my health I am at the end of my rope,I cant sleep at night cos people keep ringing me and waking me up, 2 phone calls last night bothe around midnight, then early yesterday morning at 3 am and then again at 7.50 am , what is wrong with these people,..

Hi everyone
Just back from the overnight Coff's Harbour trip - we had our Xmas party last night, and it was really nice - I'm so happy to work with such a wonderful group of women.
Getting up at 3.30am to go there and 5am to return was really worth the effort.
pj - so sorry you are feeling so bad about Xmas - but I'm not surprised:-x.
Did you know that Xmas is one of the worst times of the year? - There re more suicides at Xmas than any other time - it's all that stuff about feeling that "you should be happy" and "having to do the 'family' thing"
hello! it's not obligatory - it's just another day of the year :-)- it'll be fine or wet, hot or cold, - you'll wake up in the morning feeling well or not well, and then 24 hours later it'll be over!
I have spent many Xmases alone, and they've been great:-), and I spent many Xmases working, some with family and some with friends - and of all of them ......I look back and actually...... the ones I spent working were the best!
The alone ones were definitely ok but the family ones always seemed to have some sort of problem.
I know you have a Christian belief, but seriously? do you really think that you have to "live up to Xmas family obligations" to maintain that? Most of Xmas obligations are nothing to do with your religion - go to church on Christmas Day - and forget anything else. Family, friends and whatever, will still be there after Christmas, the rest of it is hype and commercialism!
Sorry for the rave - but I hate to see good people suffering when there's really no reason to!:-x

Just thought I would let you all know that my friend that has been missing has been found, he took his own life.
I have to have a good hard look at my self as I certainly cannot read character.
It appears he was facing a serious charge in nsw on the 7th december, involving an 8 year old girl, and I guess the bottom line was he could not face jail time.
I had no idea about any of this until after his death and I feel very sad for the young woman(as she is now) and shattered that I had no idea of the whole matter.
I hope everyone is doing well, take care and love to you all♥

Glad your friend is in the hospital JV - best place for her at the moment and she is lucky to have you with her.

Such a shame Christmas is such a stressful time for so many people. We and our son are spending Christmas day with a friend then flying to Sydney on Boxing Day to spend a little time with the girls and grandchildren. Not sure yet how long we will stay, as hopefully we will be on the move early in the new year.

Lol Rosie send him down here and he can play golf twice a week with the OH in the humidity:)

Hi miss and yes i was thinking the same thing........shes cracking jokes about all the heavy duty meds she is on.......she always has had a very sharp wit.....she does look very sad from time to time.........dreadful situation to be in:(

Hugs Dame and please dont beat yourself up over these issues...........pedos are notrious for being super secretive and leading a double life.....you were simply not to know........have to feel sorry for his family his parents or his children........what a dreadful time for everyone concerned:(

goooooooooooood morning to you all and sorry to hear that Christmas is proving stressful for many of you .........for me well its never been the most brilliant time of the year.........hubby when he was alive was in service.........and simply was rarely in the country let alone at home........plus there were lots of cross currents with family and family issues.........i can so relate to what so many of you are feeling and in some case dreading:(

I just love to go to either midnight mass or super early Christmas morning mass........and then just have a quite day.........although this Christmas will see the arrival of the step daughter from the Apple Isle complete with her undisclipined children.....thankfully they are not staying here.......have put my foot down firmly over that issue:)

Oh happy days we all have something not too pleasant to try and get our heads around at the moment:)

Dame - You have a kind heart and I fear your only crime is that you look past the outside appearance of people to see the heart. I agree with JV do not be hard on yourself, you have a wonderful ability to show love and compassion. JV is right these people are so clever at hiding their inward intent and lifestyles.

JV your daughters children sound like a handful LOL!!!!

While this time of the year can be so stressful, I still enjoy it. I don't know if its the idea that a new year is on its way with new experiences and doors opening...not sure But I am sorry some of you find it so difficult.

I need me some of those Happy days too LOL
