Hot up here as well JV must be 33 today and humid as I agree with u regards summer it seems its been here for ages in fact straight after winter we were into the 30's. I so loathe Townsville at this time of the year. They told me when I got posted to WA that the heat was the same as Townsville. Well it got to about 35 over there and I was still wearing stockings humidity isnt as high as the tropics. Loved Winter over there I prefer being cold to hot, I have the a/c and fan on at night under the doona, even in Wagga in winter I had the fan, the heater and I under a duck down doona, pure bliss.
Well the degree is hard I am amazed that we have a 4 hour lecture split up over 3 days and 1 2 hour tut, I am used to a 2 hour lecture and 1 hour tut. also the stuff they are teachin is hard about science, cells, directions of the body, anterior, superior and what parts on the body are called Umbilicial, Thorax etc etc. We have Chemistry, Physics and Microbiology to go. Cant believe the way some of the younger ones talk in 2nd year whinging cause someone had to go early to pick up a kid and had to go first, and not wanting to learn about Aboriginal health. We truely live in a Rascist society were we will only give money if the recipents are white and preferably upper class, stuff the masses.

What a lovely time I had this afternoon. Met up with Darki, had lunch and went back to her home for coffee. She has two of the most gorgeous dogs. Thank you Darki for a lovely time.

Easy dinner for us tonight. So that will ge great.

Evening all and just in from being out and looking at places etc etc.

Went and had a look at an older style home 2 klms from my son and the angel.

Great looking place spanish style.........needed a re paint and re carpet.........but.............had an easement running at the back of it.....with those high power lines and a sub station type thing not that far from the house..............have read a lot about those high power lines etc so had to strike that one off the book..........then went and saw a retirement relocatable up market type place once again nice and close to the kids........but only had 2 brs and they are waiting to see if a 3 br comes up for resale.......lots of nice amenties etc etc........but at least i have started looking.

Kezza uni sounds full on and things always take time to settle and you have to get into a routine..........and yes there are some odd people out there with odd opinions on people:)

Yep wet and cold it was yesterday as purps has said... so when the dust settles there will be a huge mud pie eh? sigh 😞

Morning all.

Cool this morning. but I like it.

Off to Hobart today to get the generator and a couple of other items we need. Then we need to buy two new batteries to run the fridges. Not happy about that as the ones we have are just a little over 12 months old. So hoping the next lot last a little longer.

We are booked to go on a lunch cruise on a tall ship on Saturday. We have friends going with us, so it should be a lovely day.

Stinking hot up here in Townsville today. I am thinking of dropping out of a subject and just doing 1 or dropping out all together I'm not getting this science one at all I need to do more reading. On ruddy zygotes and DNA and RNA, buggered if I know how I'm gonna remember it all. I'm starting to resent my son wish I was on my own to do this thing as getting someone else organised is hard work and than going somewherre were u cant understand a bloody thing she's saying even though you've read it 3 times makes me feel like a DH!!
I wish I hadda done a biology or science subject in high school b4 I started but u never know these things till ya get there and how stupid of me not to have expected this...

JVH you are doing absoloutely the right thing in doing lots of homework regards buying a new place. I do think a 3br is the way to go - as one will probably be a study - and besides the master - it's always handy to have a 'spare room'.

Bella hope you are feeling better each day!

Kezza please don't be disheartened. It is really difficult the subject you are learning (extremely) - hang in there - don't hesitate to hound the teacher with questions and for help (that is why they are there!) Once you get into the swing of it - you will do great!

Darki sounds like you do lots of hard work around your home! Pleased to read you had a lovely lunch with purple.
