Stinking hot up here in Townsville today. I am thinking of dropping out of a subject and just doing 1 or dropping out all together I'm not getting this science one at all I need to do more reading. On ruddy zygotes and DNA and RNA, buggered if I know how I'm gonna remember it all. I'm starting to resent my son wish I was on my own to do this thing as getting someone else organised is hard work and than going somewherre were u cant understand a bloody thing she's saying even though you've read it 3 times makes me feel like a DH!!
I wish I hadda done a biology or science subject in high school b4 I started but u never know these things till ya get there and how stupid of me not to have expected this...

and yes hun its not going to be a walk in the park for you ........perhaps you need to look at your days and to have everything running to a schedule.......maybe try cooking say for example some meals one afternoon and freezing them stuff like that.

Everything anyone tackles is dirty stinken tough until one starts to get ones head around things.........a bit like when a 16 year old might start work there is just so much to learn to take in and one feels all at sea

Is there perhaps someone else that is doing the course that lives nearby you that you both could study together might that help you? Big hugs i know its very very tough trying to bring a kiddie up on your own:)

JVH you are doing absoloutely the right thing in doing lots of homework regards buying a new place. I do think a 3br is the way to go - as one will probably be a study - and besides the master - it's always handy to have a 'spare room'.

Bella hope you are feeling better each day!

Kezza please don't be disheartened. It is really difficult the subject you are learning (extremely) - hang in there - don't hesitate to hound the teacher with questions and for help (that is why they are there!) Once you get into the swing of it - you will do great!

Darki sounds like you do lots of hard work around your home! Pleased to read you had a lovely lunch with purple.

kezza dont be afraid to ask the tutors for help and advice, maybe even get one of the top students to help you, but dont give up, you may regret it

i am all excited , got tickets today for pink floyd in may , never been to a concert like that so woohoo cant wait

Sorry I have been missing in action

Have been on iodine for thyroid - reacted very badly on Tuesday night - blood pressure through the roof, seeing double and terrible vertigo. Saw doctor yesterday morning - bed rest yesterday (supposedly LOL) and back to her today. I am heaps better than I was though. I will be fine but that night I thought I was a goner. Very scary.

All is well now and blood tests show no permanent damage.

Well,

I have decided to throw the towel in AND do my Masters in Social Work. you see I get Social Work the readings are mostly interesting, lol and I excell in English. so I can eventutally put these letters after my name MSW & BSW. I have sold all my books I know there are not much jobs in SW but I doubt I will always be in townsvilleand people are looked upon favourably for doing extra stuff at Uni.
2 girls I ran into today have no idea what there going on about either but they are gonna soilder through she has a good fiend so thats half the battle.
Nursing is more science based nowadays Lily they say it went that way when more men joined the profession, lol. However it makes sense that Nurses are taught about cells when dealing with Cancers patients etc. I tell ya what I have a new appreciation for Nurses I'm ust too dumb to join them, lol. Also the classes aren't child friendly too much hassle when yr on yr own with kids and child care is too expensive. Maybe I'll have another go at 50 when I'm childless footless and fancy free, lol.
