Good morning to the thread:)
I have been to the dawn service as I go every year to honor my father who served in world war 2 (he was on the Kokoda trail) and my grandfather who served in world war 1, and a viet nam vet who will not march and says he would rather forget the experience.
In past years I have always had Alex with me and he had my dads medals and dog tags and I still have my dads dress hat lol, never knew why but he was called *Skeets* by his army mates:)
Miss thanks for asking about Darlene, she is still not 100%, she has had time off work, went back, but is having more time off, the anti biotics do not seem to be working.
She works in the medical profession and she had swine flu last year so I am a tad concerned, but she tells me she is ok.
I have decided I am not too sure about her so I am off to Brisbane on Friday for the weekend, just to make sure.
I am at odds with the world atm. I am missing my children and grandies so badly, I wish I could pack up and go south to be around them, but I cannot leave my Mum and step dad, so will just have to do weekends down there more:)
I hope everyone is well and enjoying a long weekend
Chatty gal, sending you prayers and my love darlin and hope your load lightens for youโฅ
God bless all whom traverse this threadโฅ

Good morning eveyone ๐
Miss thanks for the well wishes, I'm ok. Good news is it isn't too bad! Things are settling down hopefully with lil prince. One day at a time I say! I'm back to the physio tomorrow for another appointment so will see how that goes.
Dame you are so sweet, thanks for always caring ๐ I hope Darlene will be ok and recover quickly. I'm sorry that you can't be near your family, that must be sooo hard. But they are really blessed that you are such a large part of their lives.
Gotta go waves to all of you on the thread. It's DD's 14th birthday and what a joy she is. She has such a passion for life despite her disability, we truly are blessed!
Have a great day ๐

Good evening all!
Hi JVH yes thank you kitties are thriving (bit of a handful managing 2 and juggling the dog without letting the cats escape lol) - brother home tomorrow so it will be back to babysitting children instead of animals! (Not sure which is easier).
Hi bella happy birthday to your daughter! Quite a few birthdays today!
Hi dame - Darlene is a pretty name! Sorry she is still under the weather. When my mother had the same ailment a change of antibiotic made a world of difference - tho I expect being in the medical profession your daughter will know whats best. It is difficult when you are torn logistically with family - but good you can still see them all.
Purple I expect you are on the ferry atm - bon voyage and a safe cruise into melb. in the a.m. (Coat and boots weather here today)
Pjbear hope you are well and still on the improve!
Waves to everyone else! Had a lovely afternoon in a local winery today - (seafood platter and local wines) - musicians singing great songs and a cozy fireplace - bliss!
Sweet dreams everyone!

Somehow my quoted section didnt make it into the post. I need another cuppa perhaps?
Its quite cool down my end of the country... I am glad. Its been the most humid April I can remember up to now and so much rain! NEver complain about rain though, we store it in a baby swimming pool for the garden.
Since we have no kids everyone looks surprised to see it in our yard. bought it for the dog (see pic) but she wont go in it. Hate baths so that maybe why.
Even though its raining I think we still should be vigilant with water, don't you?
If we weren't renting I would put up tanks everywhere like my dad in law. He has four of them, behind trellis etc and painted a lovely colour. He made them into works of art, up on little decks and so forth.
Everyone can do their bit in their own way.
