Bella, big {{{hugs}}} to you and the lil royal kiddies, having sick kiddies is really taxing, its hadr to see them unwell.. hope they get better very quickly..
missy good luck with the garage, just wondering If i can book you in ,in a couple of weeks time my garage needs cleaning too, LOL even though its almost empty I cant get in the door to move things to the back,,hahaha.
Have a nice lazy laid back lunch with your friend JV ,sounds like a good idea to me..I guess your OH is chasing those elusive lil white balls around the place?
I went out for lunch with some friends yesterday..we went for a drive and wound up in Murray Bridge(about an hour and a half from my place) and had lunch on the bank of the Murray River it was so nice and not really all that expensive either, for all 3 of us inc drinks the bill was $41.00..then we went for a stroll (i went for a roll) LOL along the river front, took some pics, so I might post some later if anyone is interested!
Zaidee, hi sweets, I can email you later and explain how to contact peeps thru ebay if you like? Hope you are fighting fit, and having a nice day,the weather in Adelaide today is marvellous , its prolly about 21 degrees, it was a bit warm yesterday tho..
scatty I really hope that you are doing okay, and are coping a bit better in regards to your poor scatty cat? {{{HUGS}}}
well I have let 1 poster here know of my news, I think i am ready to tell my other buddies...
2 weeks ago I saw my eye specialist, had quite a few extensive tests done on my left eye,I am legalley blind in my left eye and have been for the last 27 years, I can only distinguish between light and dark, Anyway the test results have shown that I have 2 ulcers on my cornea, 1 is quite large and covers my whole eye, the iris is torn and the oupil is not round but elongated or pear shaped, my eye is also almost completely calcified, there is also some small tumours on my L eye called neurofibromas, whether they are malignant or not we wont know til they have sent them to pathology, there is nothing that th dr's can do to fix the eye, which I kinda knew anyway, The dr's have discussed with me what they feel is the best choice in regards to treatment is to remove they eye altogether and have an acrylic prothsetic eye, it will be attatched to nerves and muscles so it will have as normal movement as possible. I am kinda scared, but also I know that I am in excellent hands, the Dr I have is a proffessor in opthamology and is well known in the practise of eye medicine all over the world, his partner used to be Mr Fred Hollows(who i was under as a child)so he is a brilliant surgeon I am lucky to have him..My op is schedueled for the 2nd of June,I am anxious to get t over and done with, I also have some of these tumours in my right eye, but atm these are lying dormant ,they wanted to try remove them, but I decided against that as to date they have caused no harm, and I don't want to risk going blind in my right eye too, the dr said there would be a 10% chance of that, so it was decided no way..
You know for what it is worth, even though yes I am scared I also feel quite lucky, with todays advances in medicine the dr's can do just about anything, I even asked the Dr ,if they can do major organ transplants, can they do eye transplants atm the dr said while it may be possible and something that is actually being looked at, there is a risk of contracting a disease called CJD or cruedtz feld jacobs (sp)disease..
Not exactly sure what it is (might google it later)but hey it never ceases to amaze me what the medical world can do,,,
so there it is,,,
I am now madly cleaning up my house so when I get home I can rest up....
I will prolly look like a pirate for a while, as it takes 6-8 weeks before the prosthetic eye is ready...
well i gotta go pick something up at the shops for tea, so catch you all later!!

Hello everyone
Thanks to all who were sympathetic about losing the old Scatty cat. Its been 1 month - and I still can't believe he's gone!
Haven't got back to you all before because I got slapped! Not on this thread, of course, but have been barred for a week - mainly ignorance of how ebay works - but now I know!
Hope I don't get slapped for the above?
Anyhow - hope your op goes well pj!:-x don't feel old jvh - remember you are only as old as you feel!:-p and bella - be careful of those hot packs - they make you feel better at the time but can make the back pain worse! Cold packs are better! They don't feel as good but they actually do something about the back pain! A good old adage is "heat for the front, cold for the back!"
Or you could try a bit of hot then cold. Back pain is such a "pain!":-(
Hope all you mothers had a lovely Mothers' Day.:-x
Off on the first of my mini holidays tomorrow after work, so going to pack now.
Waves to miss, jvh, pj, zaid, dame, chris, bella, purps and all:-)
