Evening all!

Hi JVH - glad the sun was shining today while your son is in Melb (perhaps he brought it with him so please do thank him!) - my ma's new dog is extremely timid - think she had a hard time with her previous owner - (she's almost 6mths) - so hopefully time for her to come around. She is very friendly with mum but doesn't like (is afraid) being lifted for a cuddle. Any suggestions would be great!

Hi beani yay we saw the sunshine today! Not going to the cup either - going to a winery instead with some friends.

Hi dame - yes I ponder too about life. I notice I ponder more when things are harder. So glad things are better for you and your family now and Ash is settling.

Hi kezza your diet sounds spot on for losing weight - tho I love cruskits and tuna and cottage cheese lol! Big countdown for your birthday - hope you have fun things lined up!

Big waves and ((hugs)) - got a couple of phone calls to make before I can relax for the evening! Hope your horse wins tomorrow!!!

Hi Miss and looks like reasonable weather down there today as well........rain forecast but not till a whole lot later in the day:)

Your mum could try keep a little container of treats beside her and when she picks the puppy up to reward with a tiny treat........you can get little liver treats and or dog chocs. The liver treats can be a tad rich so have to go lightly on them. But if the little one associates cuddles with treats hopefully she may lose some of that timidity. Its so hard neigh on impossible to be able to turn them around completely when they have come from a difficult home situation. I do hope she comes around and that your Mum can have lots of laughs and cuddles with her:)

HI everyone..

Yes Cup day and I am spending it at home with OH and the doggie.

I always wait til I see the horses coming out before I decide which one to go for on the day. I have picked winners in the past so my method kind of works.

Its overcast and rainy off and on in Melb today, wow, what a surprise....NOT....lol. Its rare you get a fab day for the cup.

I will be sitting there having peppermint tea and choc marshmellow choc bikkies... a far cry from my champagne and dip days when my sisters and I would sit there and enjoy it. I had at least two of my sisters there on a couple of occasions in the past.

I had to ring Aus Post today for an international postal quote and they said, oh we arent taking calls from VIC today, but the lady did so that was good!

Have a good day everyone though i kinda wish I were going to the winery with Miss, I am glad not to be out in the cold.

Hi JVH - sun just came out - so hopefully your son will enjoy! Thanx for the 'treat' tips - think we have tried every one on the market but will persevere. She is a lovely little dog - shudder to think what she has been through.

The OH been having a diddle with the computers geez will i be glad when he goes to golf in the am with the fowls.please its not raining:)
