Hi Darki, I posted a few times on yr thread on CW I lost my dear Mum to breast cancer she was 40 and I was 5. She had 1 breast off than found a lump in the other one and didnt tell anyone as she didnt want to have male doctors probing at her she was a very modest my mum was...
Hello kezza, this must be another ID, is it? I am rather confused about IDs at present, but so glad you did join us there.
Golly I don't blame your mum, it is a harrowing business indeed.

Grief can be such a lonely thing can't it. Nothing cures it except maybe time bluntens it a bit.
The loss of a mother before her time and one's children must be the very very hardest of all losses I can think of.
Of course there are others, but I think these deaths hang on forever.
It's warm down here too, but thankfully we rarely get the heat you get up there. No humidity either.
I think I have known maybe four days in 16 years that went to 35˚. Not like in Sydney where the heat would soar to 40˚ and stay there, dropping at night to 26˚
Oh never again 😞

Good morning 🙂
Yes horrendous days do happen. Some years ago I lost a very dear close friend. We had raised our children together and worked our butts off until they all finally grew up and left home.
Then she became ill and for ten years we were back and forth to hospitals and doing our best to keep ahead of the dreadful Golden Staph infection she had.
In the end it won and she died. It was 34 years of work and worry and even now after 9 years I find I miss her good sense and conversation. Her humour and intense interest in everything that crossed her path.
You never get over losing someone you really value they leave a gap that's for sure.
Oh JV we are so lucky with the cool weather, although yesterday did go to 28˚ and stayed there. Usually we get a cool change about 3pm but not yesterday. Still I have known hotter weather, so I don't make too much noise about it :^O
Missnogal, what a dreadful thing it is when a little dog is brutalised. It gives me nightmares sometimes when I hear of such things. Lucky pup it has fallen into a loving and patient family.
Happy gardening JV and don't go getting boiled 🙂
Might get out there today too unless it rains, which it looks like it might do.

Hi Miss and glad to hear the OH is feeling a bit better...........i go incognito when shopping loose clothes and a pair of crocs......look a sight but can walk for hours in them......and the old ones get relegated to the yard.......marvellous for gardening in.....unfeminine as anything but dont get sore feet
Men are very hard to buy for.......what about a lovely bottle of top shelf scotch some 15 18 and 21 year stuff about.
What about a red balloon gift voucher one can get balloon flights trips to live shows etc.
