Just took my neice home - thought she had school today but not until Thursday so will look after her again tomorrow with my nephew. We had a fun 'sleepover' and the donut machine was a blessing lol! Hope to recover soon!

Jv I am glad yr son and dil got the house I hope to be close to my son all of my life even though I say he's a pain in the but most of the time, lol. I'll need someone to wipe my but when I get older, lol.
Hiya Miss I hope u and yr Neice had a grand day just letting you know you can have my 11 year old for keeps, lol. He's sorta house trained sorta being he tends to pee on the seat I have told him numerous times to lift seat when peeing but it falls on deaf ears, lol.
I recieved a text book for my next degree yesterday and its pretty full on as if I didnt expect this, lol. However when u have the lectures and tutorials with accompanied text book it makes it easier to understand. I dunno how some people can do it externally study that it is but I guess they must be really motivated and determined. Ialso refer to myself as being to dumb to study externally I need the support and pratical input from studying internally.

Sons do tend to be very protective of their mummas.

One way to stop the peeing on the toilet floor thingie is to maybe put the toilet cleaning thing on the little ones list of chores to do........doesnt hurt them to have chores to do on a regular basis at that age:)

Hi Miss and thanks for asking after Chrissie..she had a bad night last night..........and ill be in touch with her later on to see how she is............she is very scared and even with the anti depressants she very weepy and weak all the time........horrible to see her like that

Jv the little one is in mens large clothing he's not overwweight just a big boy nearly towering over me and I am 169cm 🙂 His grandmother on his father's side is Maori and his Dad is a big boy not fat just tall and solid!!

Hi Kezza yes i know what you mean........my son who is 6.6 towered over me at that age..........and the OHs grandies have Maori/Islander in them........one of the boys is going to be a big Mumma already at 10 has a raw boned look to him

Goooooooood morning all,

Up with the fowls again this am as the OH has gone to chase little white balls:)

We had some more welcome rain through the night.......been a busy week so far.....into the legal eagle yesterday to still try and sort Mothers probate thing........what a load of twaddle that is:(.........just putting money in the legal eagles pockets.

Got the sewing machine out last week........used to sew all the time....and have decided to run up a few caftan type things for this dreadful weather.......nearly finished making the second one:)

Looks like another nice day here. Not too hot I hope.

JV I have some Malay house dresses and they are the best to wear in the summer. So can see why you are making the caftans. Lovely and cool.

Went to the casino yesterday and lost. Oh well have not been going at all this trip. Just can not be bothered. Had lunch and did a bit of shopping.

Got some smoked salmon from a place the Karen quilts told me about. Yummo , going to have it for lunch. Looking forward to that.

Kezza you can do that course. Good luck. Also I think you are not alone with the child thing. I know sometimes I thought I would neer get mine raised. And if I did they would never speak to me again. lol. But it turns out in the end. hugs to you and I will see you in September.

Hi JVH so sorry to hear Chrissy is having an awful time! It's normal she is frightened - my friend a few years back in the same situation was scared too - mostly through the night. Hardest thing is - there's not much you can do except be there for her. Are the Irish still here?

Well done re the kaftans - wish I could sew!! Love kaftans - so comfy!

Well I went down the school today to ask about the mentoring program in schools, it appears that the funds have been cut sadly 😞 But on the upside the principal asked if I wanted paid Teachers Aide work. Can you believe that! I'm qualified but told him right now I don't need the money and would be happy to volunteer some time to get some experience.

Besides its a small school and they could do with using those funds for other things. This way I can still do FC, homeschool and offer a couple of afternoons a week and still study. I'm really excited!!!! It's an opportunity to do something in the community as well as work toward some goals.

Anyway will see what comes of it.
