I have been mia for a couple of days but back now lol
It is rather warm and humid my way atm
I canna seem to get christmassy this year lol
My daughter and grandson will be here for christmas so that should cheer me up
I will be glad to say good bye to this year and hope 2011 is a better one:)

It's certainly been a tough year, but I really hope 2011 is a great year for you Dame and those that have endured their share of heartache and trial.

I hope you enjoy having the Grandies for Christmas. We will be on our own but its lovely to have each other 🙂 I hope your Christmas is a bright one 🙂 Sending you and Mr Dame all the love in the world.

Hi Bella and i bet you are so proud of your daughter.........and yes a lot of strange people out there that cant handle anything that they think are different whatever.............shows where they are coming from..........must be very hard for you and your hubby..........and yes lots for you to decide about re study etc etc..........im sure it will all sort itself out .....it always seems to:)

Sometimes its does feel a touch discouraging, however we are who we are and if people take the time to know they usually like us. It's the ones who judge within the first five seconds and can't get past their own ignorance. Anyway on the positive it makes us stronger and betterer! lol

I think I came to a decision re my study, I'll power on with my dip and continue with foster care for now. I might volunteer at one of the schools or even the community house. I desperately need to get to know people as I have only been here 18 months and in a small town it takes time.

Once I've finished my dip I'll do a day or two work depending on who I have in my care. I might look at a BA later whether its worth mounting up a HECS debt over I'm not sure!

Anyway thanks for letting me think outloud! Have you got plans for Christmas JV??

Afternoon all!

Hi JVH how is your OH's health? Hopefully he is well on the mend! Mine still struggling a bit with the cellulitis but returns to Sydney tomorrow and will get a battery of results back. He is working today locally think he needs to slow down a bit but he is a workaholic lol!

Dame not long to go before we au revoir 2010 and every good wish for a great year next year! Not feeling very xmassy here either - didn't even put the tree up this year lol!

Bella think out loud in here anytime! It is hard moving to a different area and meeting new peeps. I normally have the neighbors in once a year for some kind of party or other. Congrats to DD 12 - awesome!

Big waves and ((hugs)) to the thread. Been out shopping again and will have to go again Monday and also need to buy the dinner items - possibility of overseas guests arriving as well - no rest for the wicked!

HI and yes the HECS debt always has to be chewed over:(.........just having a quite breakfast with one of the OHs children then heading to Brissie to catch up with my son after he finishes work..............so nice and quite:)

Oh wow miss sounds like you might be very busy if your overseas visitors lob as well.............lets hope that the results that your OH gets back will put both of your minds at rest..............and yes very hard coping with or being a workaholic.............was a border line one myself...........used to love going to work and hated being at home:)

Good morning to the thread, tis a tad rainy looking again today:(
Well I have wrapped my last present and stuck heaps of folding stuff in christmas cards as this year I have decided the eternal dollar is the best way to go re most presents
My Mum is feeling rather low as I guess this will be her first christmas without ash for over fifty years, I am not sure he knows its christmas
Mr Beam is off to the home to have 1 stubbie with him today and a piece of christmas cake I made(just a boiled fruit cake) his favorite and I made a double size square one so the other residents can have a piece.
I have adopted another couple of residents one named Pops (I call him) he thinks I am his daughter lol and Evelyn, she is nearly blind but she tells me she recognises me by my perfume.
Evelyn has a daughter in england she has not seen since she went into the home 7 years ago and Pop does not seem to have any family so a couple more to add to my list:)

Good morning all!

Hiya JVH - OH just left again for Sydney was a lightening visit but he did enjoy being home. He will get his hospital results back tomorrow from the local hospital there. Won't see him again till xmas eve. Haven't found out if the overseas visitors arrive xmas day or not secretly hoping not (haven't seen them for 15 yrs was a sports partner of OH when we lived in the USA) and I hardly know them at all. Just too much going on atm.

Hi dame didn't think it would be long before you 'adopted' some new oldies! Way to go mr beam sharing a stubbie with Ash and so nice of you to bake the cake for the residents -

Cleaning up today and have a lunch at the local RSL tomorrow and need to buy a pressie for my bro. Hope everyone has a great day!!
