Good morning all... Rosie so sorry to read that about the iodine reaction. I had something similar happen with it and know just how scary it can be. Do hope you are over it soon.
Good on you kezza, social work is a worthy profession. Don't be too fooled by how 'educated' the nurses are today... they are great when it comes to the science of things but they have lost the 'human touch' that the old fashioned nurses had.
I have seen some pretty heartless things happen in hospitals since they new regime started.
I don't think you would have liked it, you are too 'human'

It will be good to see you again Shirley, looking forward to it before you leave for parts further north.
I lived on Bruny for 9 years and yes, it is beautiful. Purps will really enjoy it if they go and see all the places I told them about.
Hahaha you are soooo right...
Have observed over time that as a lot of men age they become more child like...........many seem to be more and more dependent ...........dont see woman doing that as much........wonder why that is so
My X of 40 years ago has finally come out of the woodwork in WA and has flown over to Qld to meet up with my son whom he has not seen for all that time.
Since he was widowed in December he has already tried to see if I was ready to take him on again and is now planning to move over to be near my son so he can 'take him on'... fat chance!!
Moo you are so right and years and years of experience here we have seen so much of it haven't we. Mind you, it is the human condition to disagree and then turn nasty, so maybe we should just accept it as normal and ignore it.
I find it is the easiest way in the end.
I have never suffered fools easily....and have always and will always be like that
Right on Jen same here. I don't suffer fools easily either. Have different views about Australian Citizenship, too many people come and work their butts off and would still be there for Australia if called upon.
I'm like you Rosie, my mother was English and I can have a British passport if I chose to, so can my son.
Right on purps, lots of Australians do not put their all into work, in fact some of them put their all into avoiding it.:|
See ya this afternoon
