Good Morning jv , darkie , dame and all who pop in

yayayy day off, spending the arvo with my daughter , morning catching up on chores

jv, what sort of things do you sew, i have just started up again,even bought a new overlocker,made a few things for daughter but my imagination fails me !!!..

I have the opportunity to get a malteses shitzu cross , sooo tempted , but wouldnt be fair to leave it alone while i am working the hours i do and would have to leave it inside , dont think i could cope with the destruction while i am out, so might just wait till i retire

jv and dame, enjoy you friendly catchups , always nice to do that

my daughter and her hubby want a dog , actually one each , i jump up and down about their lack of time for a pet and the expense for animals these days are huge and they just built a house and they cant see they cant afford pets yet...watching this space..lol

well seems cooler this morning, better start the chores, have a great day one all

Hi and been making caftan type things for lounging about in the heat for us both.........and am going to run up somepants........didnt get much done this am been out and about yacking all morning:)

Just wanted to say good evening to everyone. Its still cool and raining here, a lovely change from all the humidity. Stories of all the damage done to so many buildings are beginning to come about.

My friend runs a market.... they sell vegies etc to all the vegies shops and supermarkets... It was completely destroyed except for one building. His office is gone under a collapsed roof, PCS destroyed... he is there from 4 am to nine pm every day trying to get it going again so that they get can back to business as soon as possible, poor guy. They need electricity, phones, internet... imagine the mess!

But on a good note, no one was killed, a blessing.

Beani sorry for your friend's damage! OH's office was damaged too - together with a lot of stock which was stored in the underneath parking garage.

Hi losta - jvh is so right regards finding the 'right' companion otherwise you are better off on your own. I had a darling cocker spaniel years ago (cancer when she was 4) - was on chemo - and got hit and killed by a car!! (We figured it was just her time). Haven't had a dog since and OH has never had one - but I'm on the prowl for one atm.

Hi darki - I posted early on in your 'cancer' thread - update on my uncle being he has '18 months' - I figure a lot can happen within that time and have fingers crossed.

Booked another weekend stay in the city - will take my neice - didn't get the housework done the other day (my friend called and I went out to play lol) - so hopefully will finish it today (blah!)

Roaring laughing here Miss at the housework im so over housework and im getting to the stage that me cooking and kitchen are not in the same paragraph let alone the same page:)

Had a great time with my friend up from Bowral and we had a great natter.............they have a fab home down there but she is missing her mates here big time.........and her hubby is very much a mans man and is not at ease in the company of woman:(

The grey army is a for want of a better word a group of older tradies that can come and do jobs around the house both inside and out..........they have been going for a very long time.........basically can do any job that one cant tackle oneself.

Sorry to hear about the terrible mess at the OHs business.........does insurance cover that loss under cirmcumstances like that?

I have a chihuahua he's over there he is my angel. Lady who sold him to me had another puppy in mind but then she said oh I have this other one, when I saw him it was love at first sight and straight away i knew his name was Cheeky. He has hip displasia were his little leggy pops out of the socket other than that he is a champ. I take him to school to pick up C and the kids adore him. I wanted another one but my friend said he would be too jealous and we have a ginger moggy that my 2.2kg dog beats up the cats about 5.5kg a hugh ginger moggy. They sit near me at night on their respected pillows. My cat is much more comfortable here he was getting picked on by other cats at our other place.
I got my nails on the place that does them are cheap and just 5 mintues away they only charge $25 for infills. Lady done little flowerson my ring fingers I feel spec, lol. Its nice to go there for a chat with the other woman there.
Well done losing the weight Dame me I lose 50kg and put on 60kg. I say I am waiting till it cools down to start walking again.
I hate housework as well I folded up a basket of laundry and its all round the lounge room when I got back from nail appt this morning. It takes ages to get the motivation to do things and than he goes and does that to me. dont worry he is gonna pick it up when he awakes from his nap.

Hey girl...........and so glad you got the nails done..........they do make a girl feel special and i love the look of them trouble with me is i garden pull weeds and then think oh heck my hands lol...........had a chuckle at the little person and scratching through the laundry some things never ever change:)

Unfortunately I didn't get a better offer today so have been doing the dreaded housework. Slowly lol! Yes OH's office/contents all well insured so just a bit of an inconvenience. So many others worse off unfortunately.

OK turned my new white top pink in the wash - had just used up the last of the bleach cleaning bathrooms SO with nothing to lose - tipped in some 'exit mould' (thinking it must contain bleach) - and vioila - top came out as good as new! Very happy!

Hello everyone.

Actually left camp today. Went to St Helens to do the washing. The laundromat has a coffee shop attached. So had coffee and a cake. Then off to have a bit of a looksee. Wow this town is lovely. Got the groceries and a few other things. Then had lunch at a little courtyard cafe. Very nice whiting, chips and salad. Then filled up the water containers and headed back out to our camp. Loving it out here. Tomorrow will go in to wash the linens. Then off to the cheese place to have a look and buy some cheese for me. Then I hope we get to the lavender farm as well. Want to pick up some things to mail home for rellies coming from Singapore next week.

Gee Kerry your boy sounds very normal. Just like mine. I had five and they would make such a blasted mess I would be tearing my hair out lol. Glad you got the nails done.

Well I am happy as I have lost 6.3kg since I hit the road this time. So now below 90kgs. Have not been below that for a number of years. Yay for me

Nogal so pleased you got the pink out of the top. Makes me so cranky when I do something like that.

JV where the heck do you get your energy. Can you mail me some please.

Dame so good to hear that you have eased up and are able to visit your seniors again. Bet they missed you. Also congrats on the weight loss. So easy to put on but so difficult to get off again.

Good afternoon to the thread:)
I had a wonderful day catching up with my seniors, god bless em, I so wish I had more hours in the day.
The knowledge and wisdom I have gained from the contact with these wonderful people has benefitted me so much:)
I have some hilarious times with them and they are such good fun:)
It is raining my way again, I really should be grateful but my garden is saying enough thanks lol
Mr Beam is just about set up in his appartment and have got some great bargains on ebay:)
