Chris I had a lovely relaxing weekend. Even though it was spent getting ready to move on.

Well hoping for a fine day tomorrow. Do not know if I will get online where we will be camped. Fingers crossed.

Camping is so much fun. I wish I could go camping as long as there was fishing involved too. The weather is perfect for it now as you can have a camp fire. I just pray that the rain stays away for you. Have a really great time and I hope to hear all about it when you return. 😉

Hi JVH hope you managed to keep cool today - tho hard to imagine as it was like winter here (rain/hail and freezing) - however the party was a huge success (posted a couple of pics of the d.d. bus on f/b) - lol I have a very reliable car - just an unreliable imagination!

Hi purple I adore pea and ham soup if you get a chance would love the recipe. I also love mushy peas (English style where you soak dried peas overnight in bi-carb soda) - a little added vinegar as they are boiling and I could eat them morning noon and night lol!

Hi chrisblack! Not really into fishing myself but do love it when my brother cooks up a fresh catch on the barbie.

Hi dame glad you are going to have a bit more time for you (semi retirement) - hope mr. beam's trip was extremely uneventful this time!

I just like the tranquility of sitting by a river or the ocean. It doesn't really mater if I catch anything or not. I just find it very relaxing. I love camping and being outdoors. I recon that there is nothing better hen sitting around a campfire at night time playing a guitar and singing songs whilst watching all the millions of stars in the fresh air. Unfortunatley with my busy life style; I do not get the time to do it as much as I would like, anymore. Cooking fish on a BBQ is very rewarding as well.

Well the week has gone quickly, Alex is back home and mr beam is on his way back.
Back to work tomorrow for me but I am not going to be working too much longer as I have decided to go into semi retirement and hopefully just go back to my business on a small scale:)

Hi MIss and am so glad the little ones party went smoothly and everyone had a blast..........bet there was so much laughter and joy........and marvellous that you were able to capture some moments:)...........more of the same with our weather today..............already humid at right on 6 have the fans going already..........dont think we are going to get a winter:(

Goooooooooooooooood morning all and hoping that everyone had a marvellous weekend.............sonny boy back from his reunion in Sydney and picked him up from the airport and they had a top weekend.............always marvellous seeing him.........still no official word as when they return to Canberra:(

Didnt do that much as it was so hot on the Goldie.........with another 30c day today.....the humidity is still through the roof........should be cooling off by now:(

Morning all. Raining and cool here. R is still in bed, so I have no idea what we are doing. Will have my shower and breakfast and wait.

Nogal my soup is just the ham hock. yellow split peas and heaps of vegies. I simmer it for a few hours and then remove the hock. puree the soup when cool. Cut meat off the hock and put back into the soup. I also add a packet of chicken noodle soup or use some chicken stock powder. Was yummy with nice hot toast last night. Made enough for lunches during the week.

Hi Purps and yes we seem to spend a lot of our life simply waiting and waiting.......sounds like a really good day to do nothing.......

I havent seen anything of Kezza on facebook either.....sent her a message late last week still no reply.
