OK, thanks lurker.
Confession time..Im not a regular player, I am a beginner.
But,
I am very interested- my eyes d/wont glaze over when you write about it,
and I can watch it on TV without falling asleep..
Im more your CS caddy, if you will have me, on hand for support, shoulder rubs, hauling your equipment (hey richo! no VBs in the cart!)
and I can navigate all back to the 19 hole..
let me know what you think, and I will get out my plus fours and tartan beret.

I am.
Seriously.
Im living in Melbourne- sadly, the weather is not always great for golf- within walking distance to the Royal Park course...I often walk quite near the course, and watch the players on the 3rd and 4th holes..
Beautiful game..Thanks for the cheers

American interloper here. Severe back issues have knocked me out of the game, but I'm still a huge fan.
When last I played my handicap was a 12. At it's lowest (age 18) it was a 4.
Always wished I could have made a golf pilgrimadge to Australia, but it wasn't to be.
Thanks lurker- Is it OK if Im a girl caddy?
Or should I wear a disguise??
Ha 🙂
I spent my last two high school summers working as a caddy. It was very pleasant work.
The second summer I was Rita Hayworth's personal caddy 🙂
She was in her mid 50s at the time. What a lovely, classy lady she was.
Being a teenager of a differnent generation I was aware of her by name but had never seen any of her movies.
After the first time I caddied for her I got home and my father asked me how my day had been. When I mentioned to him that I had caddied for Rita Hayworth he just about had a heart attack lol After seeing the movie "Gilda" a year or so later I understood why 😉

Rita Hayworth?? WOW
Did you drive a golfcart??
Va va voom..! lol

LOL youcan 😉
No golf cart 🙂 She enjoyed the walking for exercise. And interestingly, she never played with others. Always alone. And only very late in the day on weekdays, when the course was the quietest and least busy. For her golf was a pleasant way to get away from it all. She was always impeccably dressed, and often self depricating about her game in a charming, humorous way. A great lady, to be sure 🙂
